I was a fan for years, but had to bail after Michael Rosenbaum's (Lex) departure from the show. I think I actually had some man love going on with the guy.

It's not the show's fault he chose to leave. I'm sure they've done the best with what they have to work with.

Maybe I'll give it one more shot.

They will no doubt be in the mold of all the Smallville costumes...... However I am looking forward to seeing how Dr Fate and Hawkman look . Especially Hawkman ..... will they change his backstory at all ? Very interesting I think.

I look foward to this with excitement and trepidation. I have a feeling the story will be good, but the visuals will be lacking.

Smallville actually did a pretty decent job on Doomsday last year, despite the cut budget. But they so under-utilized him it was pathetic. I don't mind Green Arrow and Aquaman's looks eithers. Black Canary would be pretty accurate if they gave her long hair and ditched the raccoon makeup.

Totally agree, but I chalk it up to (should they get to that point) the longer hair and ditching the raccoon makeup might be the makeover that finally makes Ollie lose interest in Lois and realize who the love of his life is. This might be a calculated measure.

I think they are allowing for wiggle room because, let's face it, how the heck could anyone be pining for Lois if Black Canary was looking as Black Canary should?

They just announced that the Society story is going to have so many characters it is now going to be a 2 part episode! They also added Phil Morris will be playing Martian Manhunter.

And...UPDATED 10/20/09: More from Geoff Johns on Twitter: "Yes, Hawkman will have wings. And a big mace. Oh. And he and Green Arrow don't get along. At all."

So it sounds like it might be pretty cool! Fingers crossed.

Wow, sounds like this may turn out alright after all. The Legion episode last year was definitely the best of the season. Don't forget the Wonder Twins episode airs this Friday. I haven't been keeping up with Smallville this season (I've only seen the second episode), but I may have to tune in for this one.

Just saw promos for the Twins episode tomorrow night, I admit I'm going to watch.

I watched it, and it was pretty good! Best Smallville I've seen in a long time. Erica Durance makes a great Lois, and her and Welling have nice chemistry. Episodes like this make me wish they'd just let the show evolve into a true Superman show and get out of this awkward phase.

Of course the next handful may be back to the incomprehensible mumbo-jumbo that they tend to muck through every season, but if they stay on a course like this, I like it.
