Here's the link to the November release of Atomman no:3 with the robot:ROBOR.
The saga is well under way with this third adventure...Check it out,it's a great story!
Thanks a lot!I never took any drawing lessons, just draw for pleasure for many
years and NEVER showed it to anyone until a married couple friend of mine asked me:"Apart from music, what do-you do?" So I mentioned comics and the
gal asked me to show it to them and I finally gave in...
They said that it was "professionnal stuff"(at least for them) and that I should
release it...so...here we are
I admire the work of Joe Sinnott and Jack Kirby (Marvel Hulk) and the bronze age comics;I'll release a new number each month (I already have a lot made that I started in 2005!)with great characters and villains.
The story and drawings only gets better...wait and see...
As I said before, I really like the folk art look to your stuff.
Thanks;the only comics I read and own are my precious Marvel HULK (I have almost everything from start to 200 and so...I'm in my forties so I grew up with the Bronze age-Silver age comics and always liked the characters but I
always was puzzled by the stories (a bit too complex sometimes).
I also read TINTIN and the story there is easy-to-read so I guess I added a bit of both in my stuff. The faces are more TINTIN inspired with a black dot for
the eyes instead of Marvel more detailed facial work...
I like what your doing Al.
What I do. I draw a character picture in pencil. Then I scan it with my scanner. I use a program called Irfanview (can get it free on Download.com) to turn my pencil marks into black lines. Basically enhancing the contrast to bright white and black. Then I re-save it as a Bitmap file.
After I do that, I drag the Bitmap file into simple Photoshop and I can color the character any color I was (usually having to touch up some black lines) that will allow me to create colors.
Then when I am done, I usually add backgrounds by doing a Google search and manipualting the background so I can plop my character onto it.
I would love to draw a picture of your Atom Man for fun and send it to you. Once you get my process down it becomes a fun side hobby to bring your characters to life.
