More on the Doc Savage book from DC

This just out of Baltimore Retailer Summit:

Azzarello Pulps Up DCU With “First Wave” - Comic Book Resources

Wow, I flip-flop on this. Everytime an announcement comes out, I think it sounds good, then somebody else chimes in and I think it will suck. I dunno here. Doc & crew look great and spot-on in that artwork, then I read that stuff about the Blackhawks & Black Canary and think wha? Why? And sounds like we'll be getting another version of the Spirit, maybe more in line with the movie? The Octopus revealed?

Wow, I dunno. I just dunno.

A Doc Savage monthly! Hope he's treated right. I'll wait until after I read it to pass judgement.

      Hmmmm....

I dunno.... it all seems kinda "been there, done that." From the description it sounds almost like Doc is gonna be a supporting character for Batman.

      Sorry, THE Batman.

Yeah it starting to sound sort of crappy to me.....I had high hopes for this originally.

The Blackhawk thing does make sense if it is in the present of this Earth.

Here is something for though in a new comic series. Stop changing orgins, and characters, these are classic characters leave them be and get good artists as well as writers to write new interesting stories for them. damn, in the 70 more then half of these new artists would never have made it. AHH the times when comics had real art and plots and were not 100+ issue events which lead to nothing in the end.
