what superheroes are ripoffs of previously created characters?
Like the "speedster-esque" characters...
Or the "Arrow" Guy ,.. Don't get me wrong, I love Ollie & Hawkeye,.. But That's the Lamest "Power" Ever.
Or the "Clone" characters ..., they never seem to inventive...
Lets Kill ThinderBird,.. I think the Only X-men that has actually stayed Dead..., Because well, Lets introduce WarthPath, His Brother !!! BAWAHAHAH !!!
Red Hulk..., ok, Now She-Red Hulk . I like the story,.. but alrighty then.
Then you have right now in the Books...
Superman
earth2 Superman
Kingdon Come Superman
Composite Superman
Ultraman
Eradicator
Cyborg Superman
Superboy
Superboy Prime ... & These ones are all in Continuty in the Same Publisher !
Claw Characters seem ripped off, just drawn Differently ...
Cat Characters ...
How abouts Blondes with Superman's Powers...
Powergirl
Supergirl
Ms. Marvel ... & I read them all.
The Now Zombie Worlds... Big time ..
Marvel Zombies
Black Lanterns ,.. although a real different story, but still the principal of Zombies, however Now Marvel is gonna steal some of that, & make the X-men fight some upcomming resurected Zombie X-Men ..
BTW... Add Supreme to the List of Superman Rip-Offs.
Doc Savage was definitely ripped off by Superman. First name is Clark, has a Fortress of Solitude, indestructible.
Batman borrowed from the Shadow. Alter ego is a well to do socialite, dresses in black, wants to strike fear in the hearts of criminals, and later trained in the orient.

sinc emost heroes are archtypes they are all ripoffs of something
basically all supermusclemen are superman ripoff's whether they fly or not
batman is a inspired by of pulps zorro, crimson avenger, green hornet and the phantom with a little sherlock holmes
green arrow is a rip off on robin hood with a little batman (especially in the gold and silver age playboy ollie queen) for good measure
even Alan scott is a Knock off of aladdin (lamp giving magical powers)
I don't know who came first crimson avenger and wing or green hornet and kato they are bascially the same character
but in the realm of the comic medium if we accept the golden age as "new" some characters are knocked off by the same publisher. DC embraced the hero genre fastest so many hero archtypes come from them
superman is original knock offs include Capt marvel,
Batman is original green arrow is a knock off with a bow who is then copied into hawkeye, Sandman is a knockoff of phantom and a green hornet
Robin is original and all kid sidekicks (incl speedy, sand, wing, bucky) are knockoffs
flash is original whizzer, max mercury, johnny quick, barry flash, quicksilver, kid flash
captr america is origiginal guardian in an unashamed knock off
hawkman is original falcon and angel are knock off's

But Captain America came after The Shield (who didn't have a shield, but was the first patriotic super hero)
hawkman is original falcon and angel are knock off's
True, but Hawkman was based on Flash Gordon's Hawkmen of Mongo.
In hindsight, I'm surprised Street and Smith didn't come after National/DC and Siegel and Shuster for appropriating so much of Doc Savage into Superman, although his headquarters wasn't called "The Fortress of Solitude" until the late 50s, while Doc was kind of off in obscurity for awhile.

I didn't know SHIELD Came first thanks for correcting me. then I would sayo Mr america/americommando in another knockoff of shield
Hawkmen of mongo - true I dond't know when the flash gordon comics showed the hawkmen first
I liked the 40's Superman's mountain fortress better than the arctic one
hawkman is original falcon and angel are knock off's
as previously said hawkman was taken from the hawkmen from mongo.
and angels have been a part of legends and mythology for thousands of years i hardly think the creation of hawkman has anything to do with inspiration the original x-men .
