        I would have to go with Romita over Ditko, but its close....real close. "Jazzy John" drew the Spideys I first encountered as a kid, so nostolgia may be the deciding factor here.

            Romita for me, he is THE Spidey artist in my eyes. I do like the Ditko Spidey but prefered him on Doctor Strange as that character was more suited to his kooky art.

              This reminds me of that film Crimson Tide where the two crew members are arguing on who drew the best Silver Surfer, Kirby or Moebius (obviously should have been Buscema)

                  While in general I prefer Romita's style over Ditko's, there is no denying that Ditko set the tone for Spidey. There was magic in Ditko's work that laid the foundation for Romita and later Gil Kane to build.

                  I can't imagine Romita or anyone else other than Ditko drawing those first issues of Spidey, and of course the same can be said about Romita's issues. I'm glad I've been able to enjoy both of their work.
