In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.
Lex Luthor
Black Manta
Mysterio
Green Goblin
Riddler
Know why I find your list interesting Brian---there are quite a few villains
on there that are my favorites in an iconic sense, but I don't know as much about them
in full as I'd like to and that's why my favorite super-villains are a bit more
popular I guess
MYSTERIO, I mean right off with a helmet like that...what's not to love?
Seriously though, all the "major SPIDEY villains" rule---but I only feel a biggest
connection to a small, select few
Speaking of a great big fun rogues gallery, ever since the GORSHIN days...I've been
into the RIDDLER character for years...but don't know his comicbook background
as much as I'd like to
BLACK MANTA in particular is a character I gotta brush up on---I kinda picture him overall
being like that JLU doppleganger that made a few appearances----a real obnoxious
African-American dude with great swimming gear! Being a big Aquaman fan, I feel
Aquaman's great baddies need more attention!!! (Ocean Master & Fisherman too especially)
---and one that
you didn't list, but others did is Marvel's BIG gun: DR. DOOM----cool guy, I just
don't know enough about him---I never even saw the FANTASTIC FOUR movies!
Great to read these lists---no offense to "good guys" but villain lists seem to be a bit
more interesting overall
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

1. Joker - has been evil in every era except in the 50's where he was more comic relief and rightly so and has had some of the best other media personifications (jack in batman 89 , Mark Hammil in the bruce Timm DCAU, and Cesaer in Batman 66) and best of all he Killed Jason Todd (at least for a while)
2. Reverse Flash - Zoom reminds me why I miss Barry Allen
3. Vandal Savage - one of the few e2/golden era villians to stay relevant
