Superman/Batman Public Enemies on DVD Today !

Hey Guys,

This came out today,.. for those that wanted it ...
At Best Buy it comes with a Free Little Infinite Hero's Size Batman Jim Lee-esque costume, with a Mcguiness-esque Head ..., The figure is Nice, but other than the Arms Moving,.. it really has no Articulation at all. Kinda un-Impressed compaired to the GL Offering,.. but I still got him.

Target was suppost to release a 7 figure DC Universe Set today, with the Move (2 different Batmans & 2 Different Supermans) as well as a Batman Infinite Hero's 3 Pack, a Superman 3 pack & a 6 Pack of Infinite Hero's ..., However, ofcourse none of my Targets had None. Whatever.

^^ The Target stuff has a street date of Oct. 11th I believe. So, nothing there yet.

I really enjoyed the film. I have seen it twice already today. Liked the extras as well. The dinner with the DC animated staff was cool.

Was starfire and powergirl inm it like the comic? and did both bat/supes families help out at the end as well? i'm not gonna get if not. let me know please.

I bought it. Watched it. Enjoyed it! Just a fun super hero romp. I liked the movie better than I remember liking the comic overall. Loeb weaves some neat bits with some wonky stuff, and sometimes I have a hard time swallowing it. Here it works much better. Having Conroy, Daly and Brown back made this feel legit to me. Continuity-wise, you can almost see this taking place after STAS, as if JL/JLU never happened (Heaven forbid though!). CCH Pounder as Waller helped bring back the good ol Timmverse feeling too, although I wish they'd restrained McGuiness' "Jabba the Hut" design for Waller more. I always had trouble with that look for her.

I wish I had went for the 2-disc set this time out. The one-disc is totally barebones, with only the Blackest Night and previous DCU movie previews, just like the GL movie. I had my wife pick this up while running errands, so I assumed the single disc would have the Crisis trailer. It doesn't.

Fun movie. Well worth the scratch!

Yes. Both Powergirl and Starfire are in it. PG has a larger role though. They did trim some of the characters out at the end.

I bought the 2 disc set yesterday and finally viewed the film last night. I LOVE it!!!

In my humble opinion, this has to be the best DC animated movie so far. To answer bobws questions:

1: Yes. Both Power Girl and Starfire are in this movie. BUT only Power Girl is a major player. Starfire appears and is part of the action, but she has no speaking lines and neither does Katana.

2: Unfortunately, Superboy, the female Kryptonian whose name I don't know, the female Steel, Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl (Cassandra Cain), and the Huntress are not in this animated movie. It's too bad. I would have loved to have heard Clancy Brown punching Nightwing and yelling "Fall Damn You!" But I guess those cuts had to be made.

The only other DC Hero excluded from this story was Green Lantern John Stewart.

It's my theory that these characters were too many to have in the short amount of time for this movie, which is why I assume they were left out, not to mention the older Superman from the future.

I won't spoil anything further, but I will say there are more villains in this movie than appeared in the trailer. I suggest buying or renting to find out who all is there.

Personally, I recommend this movie. Especially if you love the Timmverse shows and would like to hear Conroy, Daly, and Brown back in their respective roles.

I liked it better as a movie than a comic, it really bothered me to read it. I guess I can accept massive plot holes and macguffins better when I'm watching them on the teevee.

Still hated the McGuiness style leaking into characters like Captain Atom and Amanda Waller. How do people walk around with thighs like that? Power Girl looked like Tinkerbell with a boob job and her character was all off.

For some reason, I loved the super smug Captain Marvel, never seen him portrayed that way and I thought it was an interesting take.

Superman and Batman's "Top Gun" bromance was kind of funny to us but the movie was far better than "Gotham Knight" or "Death of Superman" by a texas mile.

If Captain Atom did walk with thighs like that, the friction would tear a hole in his containment suit, resulting in a meltdown.

I did like seeing Powergirl get a spotlight, esp. since she was kind of *******ized on JLU (but it was a well-done *******ization).

I liked the super-smug Captain Marvel too. Kind of came across the way a kid would play a super hero, which is as good a take as any on him.
