I know where you're coming from.....but so far I've been pleased with the way the Black Lanterns have been handled and the gauntlet of emotions our still-living heroes have had to run.
In regards to the above covers, if handled correctly....
- It makes sense for Wonder Woman to have to deal with some of the ramifications from killing Max Lord a few years back.
- The Booster/Beetle relationship has been played out in the series on the positive side so far with Booster bringing Ted back from the dead for an arc, only to have Ted voluntarily return to his proper place in time and ultimate fate. Now we'll get to see this from the nasty side....
- The Chief of the Doom Patrol has a LOT to answer for over the years....Arani/Celsius is just one of them....hopefully he'll get his comeuppance since they've made his character very manipulative and unlikeable since his revival.
- And as you said....Gardner as a Red Lantern just makes sense!

I'm not a huge fan of comics because I always feel like I'm missing something and getting caught up seems hopeless, but I have gotten into this series, and am really digging it. The art is quite good, IMO. Great cover images.
"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."
From the bits of chainmail, I'm guessing Ravager has to face her brother, the original Ravager? I don't know much about Rose, did she ever meet her brother before he died?
Is that Bizarro taking over Superman/Batman with Manbat? I like that creepy logo. Is Bizarro dead in current continuity or is it the fact that he's not really "alive" that allows the ring to take him over?
Looking forward to the Chief getting some of what is coming to him. I guess it follows the pattern of twisted abusive relationships that Cliff, Rita, Larry and co stick with him after the number of times he's tried to get them killed with the unlikely premise that it makes them better people.

No that's Solomon Grundy.....his recent mini-series leads right into the Superman/Batman arc

I'll spare my old-fogey commentary, but those are nice looking covers. And it makes total sense that Gardner would be a Red Lantern.
I was always kind of wondering if the fact that Guy had Sinestro's yellow ring for a while would play into things. But he is a better candidate for the Red Lantern than Sinestro Corps.
The question is, what would get him so angry? I'm really hoping this doesn't have anything to do with Ice now that she's back and they have resumed their relationship somewhat.
When we see the Threw the Black Lanterns Eye's in the series,.. Guy Gardner is Actually red, And the Rage Icon comes up,.. The Black Lanterns see the Emotion the character infront of them has ...
I dunno what to think about Guy being a Red Lantern..., kinda Feel's a Bit forced, considering Hal Jordan was already one.
I keep thinking that 1 Of the 4 Earth Lanterns will Die,.. or Become a different color perminately... I don't really want to see it.
Someone Told me that DeathStroke is Gonna lead the Titan's again...., I wonder if that book is the Lead up to it. ... In the Newest Titan book,.. it kinda puts a thought out there, that Maybe BeastBoy will go back & Coach the Team ... I don't think Ravager has Met Her Brother,.. outside of them maybe being Kids,.. but I think she was too young to remember,, Her Oldest Brother was quite a Bit older than Her & Jericho,.. & I believe She took His name Outta rememberance for him ..
I finally read Part 3 of Blackest Night Last night,.. Fun, Fun Stuff. This is a Great series..., I do think a few of these Dead Hero's will return to the Living,.. should be fun to see what ones. This is the Best Damn Cross over I have ever , ever Read.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
I was noticing that DC seems to have based one of its latest crossovers in Green Lantern based on a couple of eight-page stories that I did 25 or 30 years ago. I would have thought that would seem kind of desperate and humiliating, When I have said in interviews that it doesn’t look like the American comic book industry has had an idea of its own in the past 20 or 30 years, I was just being mean. I didn’t expect the companies concerned to more or less say, “Yeah, he’s right. Let’s see if we can find another one of his stories from 30 years ago to turn into some spectacular saga.”
I increasingly get a sense of the comics industry going through my trashcan like raccoons in the dead of the night… That’s a good image, isn’t it? They weren’t even particularly good ideas.
In all fairness and honesty, Alan Moore wrote a handful of Green Lantern back-up tales that nobody cared about. Period.
Yeah they may have struck a chord with Geoff Johns but I think his Blackest Night storyline is more than him just dusting off Moore's work and passing it off to a modern audience. In fact, Blackest Night is the third chapter in the trilogy that Johns started with Green Lantern:Rebirth and continued with The Sinestro Corps.
Johns' gift as a writer is being able to take things, characters and concepts that others throw away and breath new life into them....
For example, Black Hand was a nothing villain before Johns turned him into one of the sickest s.o.b.s in the DCU (which had nothing to do with Alan Moore BTW)....
So the same can be said for Moore one-shot stories....Johns took a basic concept and made it better than Moore would have dreamed of.
Don't get me wrong....I like Alan Moore (I still cherish Watchmen, V for Vendetta and Swamp Thing to this day....classic stuff) but quite frankly, what has he done for me lately, besides whine and whine and *****n' moan about American comic book companies?

yeah Moore needs to shut up and get over himself already.
that being said I love this crossover. It's really cool watching heroes come back from the dead as villains and I agree some of them will end up alive again by the end.....Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter are who I am thinking....probably some of the ones who got killed off in the storyline so far too.....the Hawks, Aqualad...
