Like Chris I have a softspot for the golden age/E2 heroes. As a kid I read marvel and DC but like soem others the 90's turned me away. Too expensive and they were eliminating too many classics (evil hal Jordon come on)
1. Green lantern Alan Scott
2. Captain Marvel (in all his CCbeck cheesiness)
3. Superman 1970's -85 style
4 . Johhny Quick (all star squadron era)
Of the versions for today
1. Green lantern Sentinel Alan Scott (shocking)
2. Kyle rayner has grown on me
1. Batman
2. Jonah Hex (I know he's not super powered but still a super hero of sorts)
3. Captain America
4. Spiderman
So many to choose from but the list goes on and on. There are things that I love about the individuals and their personalities that make them my favorites.
I've always had a great deal of affection for the great Golden-Age characters, the more obscure the better. Hence the love for Hoppy the Marvel Bunny I was bored one day last week and actually fleshed out the Wikipedia entry for Hoppy:
It was originally much shorter, so I took a couple of hours to do a better job of it. My list of favorite characters:
1) Hoppy the Marvel Bunny, closely followed by the Golden Age adventures of the rest of the Marvel Family
2) Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew
3) the Justice Society of America
4) the Fantastic Four ( Jack Kirby era and John Byrne's run)
5) Captain America (Mike Zeck era)
6) every goofy, offbeat, obscure Golden Age character Roy Thomas resurrected for the Invaders and the All-Star Squadron
