I'd totally forgotten about that version of Doctor Midnight (with the proper spelling!). Which Crisis type event did they kill her off in?

Now if memory serves, that's the current Hourman right? He took over again after the robot from the future?

How can I not love Ma Hunkel when I really want her granddaughter to wear the pot? I'm also kind of tickled by the Forbush Man connection here.

Although more than likely, her Kingdom Come look will eventually show up.

I guess the current outfit is designed to be constantly flapping around to give her that sense of "Tornado"?

So do we like the title "JSA ALL STARS" or would you have preferred something like "Justice Society Infinity"... particularly since it is the younger characters spinning off and leaving the older guys in JSA. I guess it's better than All Star Super Squad.

The chick Dr Midnight was killed off when a bunch of heroes went after Eclipso....one of the was the Creeper if I recall but apparently he got better.

And yes, the Infinity Inc. Hourman is the current Hourman (Rick Tyler)

Ah! After that crossover in the Annuals where all kinds of characters got Eclipsed!

I think it was around here where Bart Sears storytelling really started to go a bit downhill.

Loved the spoof where Ambush Bug tries to join the crossover, but gets the wrong black diamond.

I remember that! Kind of a "Dimmest Night" story.

            >I think it was around here where Bart Sears storytelling really started to go a bit downhill.

I'd bet that's 'cos this was one of the proto-mega-event comics. They tried to tie EVERYONE into it, didn't they? I remember 'cos a few of the books I read had tie-in issues that pretty much broke the narrative for me since I didn't read all the other parts.

Hee heee. Was that the one where he met Gaiman's Sandman? "I am not devoid of humour."

I never liked the female Dr Midnight but I liked Yolanda Montez as the female Wildcat.
That Eclipso series was soooo violent. It seemed like just a title they created so they could kill off old unused characters.
I am still enjoying JSA and I like the Wildcat Jr.
Too many young characters but as mentioned, I can see why. So they can populate a spinoff book.

It just occurred to me that Magog is based on Cable, and here he is taking the younger members of the JSA and making a kind of "X-Force" out of them in terms of a proactive strikeforce.
