I've enjoyed the two Willingham and Sturges issues thus far. They seem to have a handle on writing such a large cast and introducing character based conflict within the ranks. It will be interesting to see where they are taking it from here.

I've always loved the JSA so I'm not going anywhere unless they start killing off the rest of the old guard.
I've loved the JSa ever since the first time I saw them in one of those old 100PG Super-Spectaculars.

I'm keeping up but don't know if i'll be able to handle it when they split into 2 books soon. i don't like the traitor within stories though."Hang on Lady... We go for a RIDE!" - Shorty to Willie Scott.Best movie line from Indiana Jones & the Temple Of DoomComment

Haven't gotten to any of the Willingham stuff. I'm up to the Ordway fill in story. What is wrong with the comics world where Ordway is doing fill in stuff??You must try to generate happiness within yourself. I dropped the book with the 1st Willingham/Sturges issue...I felt the title was meandering anyway toward the end of the Geoff Johns run and the cast had gotten too large.

I picked JSA up for awhile, but stopped when Johns left.Comment

Power Girl's on both teams? Not sure how I feel about the split. I guess if they hadn't used Infiinity Inc as a title so recently, the All Stars team might be better suited as a new Infinity Inc.

I'm still reading - - - wasn't aware there was a split to two titles down the road. Why do they always have to ruin books by doing this? JSA has been a solid read for many years now in its various incarnations. I feel like the comic companies naturally feel that readers will pick up two books and their profits will double. What I usually end up doing is dropping the title.
And yeah, Ordway is underrated. That guy can flat out draw. He did a comic signing at my local shop in CT a while back. I just asked the owner today if he would ever be back and he told me Ordway lives locally and comes in the shop every Weds.Comment

The JSA is my favorite team of all-time, bar none. I've found that I accepted the revised legacy characters with no problem, guys like Mr. Terrific & Dr. Mid-Nite, etc. even though I liked the originals so much. ...with one provision. So long as some original members like Alan, Jay, Ted remain active and on the team, I'm fine with adding new members (with the exception of that stupid Kid Wildcat Jr. or whatever. Just a dumb idea and redundant.)
Not going to get too excited over stuff like Magog & a spin-off team, because the track record of such endeavors means they will be gone within a year or so. And new legacy characters have darkened the JSA door in the past, really poor stuff like the female Dr. Midnite & Wildcat, only to fail and be killed off. I'll sample an issue or two, if it's good I'll buy it, if not, well I'll wait until it passes and pick up the back issues from the 50-cent bins for casual reading fodder.
It is a shame Ordway wasn't given the reins, he is a really talented yet underrated artist & writer. Still hoping he'll get a re-go at the Marvel Family.Comment
