1) Betty Kane.....basically the Golden Age Earth-2 Bat-Girl (notice the hyphen)

2) Barbara Gordon....the most famous and original (at least for Earth-1) Batgirl. Crippled by a bullet to the spine courtesy of the Joker. Now operates as "Oracle".

3) Helena Bertinelli (the modern Huntress)....assumed a Batgirl guise during No Man's Land after the Gotham earthquake

4) Cassandra Cain....the daughter of a Batman foe (Cain)...operated as BG for the last 10 years, picking up the costume where Helena left off.

5) Misfit....briefly was Batgirl during a Birds of Prey story

6) Stephanie Brown....formerly the Spoiler....the new current Batgirl


Then of course there's the original Golden Age Earth-2 Batwoman (Kathy Kane) and now the current modern batwoman (Kate Kane)

Kate Kane is running around Detective Comics as Batwoman currently.

Thunderbolt ain't available to DC, they don't own the rights, PAM's estate does. DC never owned them. When Charlton folded the rights went back to Morisi.

I love Bette Kane, Barbara Gordon, Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown. i don't know how well steph will handle this job or rather how well the writers and artists will handle this job , but i'm in it for now and it is the ONLY Batbook i'm buying!!!!!!!!!!!!

Red Robin is Actually Pretty Damn Good Too. Yost is writing the Book,.. & has been Brillant thus Far in the series as well as His X-Force Book. Tim Is looking for Bruce,.. & Ras Al Ghul has some serious special interest in the Theory that Bruce is still Alive as well.

Also,.. I just finished Blackest Night Batman # 2. & This Book is So Damn Chaotic , which makes for a very good read.

Nahhh, DC owns Capt. Atom, BB, Judo Master, Question,Nightshade, Sarge Steel and the rest of the Charlton characters. They just don't own TBolt. Ted taking a bullet is all DC's stupid Didio's idea.

Agreed. I don't dislike the new costume. Putting her in the old classic Babs costume would have been cool though. I never warmed up to Cassie, and esp. not her friggin' ugly costume.

The suit is better than Cassie's suit,.. however that is seriously not saying Much. I can't believe they dropped the ball so damn Bad with this suit design. I might have to cancel the book,.. after the 1st arc because of it. I reall, really don't like the suit & find it distracting...

I just want to say that I've always liked Stephanie's character. Chuck Dixon created her during his great Detective run and used her a lot on Robin. She even had a baby! I believe she gave it up for adoption, but there's a potential storyline down the road. I'm glad they fixed that god-awful plot point where Leslie Thompkins "put her out of her misery". That was insanely out of character and ruined both of them.
