    Legion of Superheroes question

ok, going through my collection of Legion titles today.
I have Legion of Super Heroes #4 from 1973. my earliest Superboy and the legion is #210 from '75.

I guess my history is messed up, there was a Legion book of it's own? that got canceled and Superboy became Superboy and the Legion of Super-heroes until issue #259 when Superboy left it became Legion of Super heroes.

I know it ran that way for a while til they started doing the Baxter reprints in the high 300's

    am i correct? anyone know?
What was the last issue before it switched completely over to the baxter series?

No the Legion book you have from '73 is a reprint book (Volume 1)....
    lasted only 4 issues.

Superboy became Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes with issue #197.
Then in #259, Superboy left for The New Adventures of Superboy and the Legion inherited the title.

The last issue of LSH (Volume 2 we'll call it) was #313, at which point it became Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes (the Baxter reprints didn't start 'til #326 and continued 'til #354, when the title was canned.

Meanwhile, the Baxter LSH title ran from #1 thru #63 and then the title was rebooted in the 5-Years Later thing and started again with #1 (Volume 4). Ran thru #64.

Rebooted AGAIN with LSH (Vol. 5) #0 and Legionnaires #0....after which I sort of lost track....

A new series was relaunched as The Legion (Volume 6) and the recent Waid/Kitson reboot was again titled LSH (Volume 7).....

Dan Didio said today in an interview on Newsarama that when Paul Levitz takes over writing the Legion in Adventure Comics, the LSH will take over the entire book and Superboy will be going elsewhere, possibly into a team book, probably a Titans series. I find it funny that once again the LSH boots Superboy out of his own book & takes over. This is like the third time I think.

Well to be fair that character isn't the "real" Superboy anyway. In fact I just read Legion of 3 Worlds and was extremely angry they brought back that ******bag clone. As far as I'm concerned Superboy was, is and always will be Clark Kent/Kal-El as a youth.

Have they retconned Clark as Superboy back into continuity yet?

Which Action was that?I don't recall that at all.
The closest thing to that I remember was them having a YOUNG SuperMAN being retconned in PLACE of the original SuperBOY with the Legion.
I didn't see any reference to him being SuperBOY or a career as Superboy in Smallville at all.

That was during the Legion arc....or at least the groundwork was laid for it....I think it's supposed to be expanded upon in the upcoming Superman:Secret Origin mini (again by Johns/Frank)....the original Otto Binder/Al Plastino version where Garth, Imra and Rokk meet teen-age Clark Kent....maybe not necessarily an 8-year old BOY but the artwork shows a young Clark in his Superboy duds:

Let's not forget that Clark as Superboy was originally a retcon as well. So you have a retcon being retconned by a retconned retcon. Did I get that right?

I know what you mean. I was VERY excited when this storyline started but as far as I recall he was still SuperMAN at the end and never had a SuperBOY career. That disappointed me as Superboy was one of my favorite comic characters and I wanted to see the history reinstated. Ok I guess I'm splitting hairs in a way because they did reinstate a young Clark into the Legion continuity but I really want to see the Pre-Crisis (OIE) Superboy return. I miss those old Smallville, Lana, Pete, Lex, Krypto, Ma & Pa, etc stories. When I say BOY I don't want an 8 year-old, I want a teenager.
