Is that the one w/ Cathy Lee Crosby? I remember that was one of the 2 movies I watched on the 4:30 Movie and thought how wrong it was that she was a blonde in a red dress!

I never knew about this one until the mid 80s, when I caught it on a local channel on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I couldn't understand how this got made. It looked more like something Marvel would have thrown together in the 70s, ala the Reb Brown Captain America flicks.

All I recall about it was Crosby and that outfit, and Ricardo Monteblan riding a burro?!?

Whoa, and then someone liked that enough to do this:

              We was robbed!!!!

The tv guide said it was the 74 film...turned out to be the (awful in my opinion) recent animated Wonder Woman film.

The 74 film may have been bad, but it couldnt have been worse than this!!!!

In the late sixties they tried to make Wonder Woman Emma Peel and take away her powers, this movie tried to ape that (only five years after the Avengers was cancelled and after DC had already realized their error, brilliant!) and it is pretty much universally reviled.

Um yeah, if you saw it as an adult you would realize how silly a statement that is. The TV movie is really terrible, not "Star Wars Holiday Special" terrible but it's definitely a contender with "Kiss meets the Phantom of the Park" for overall lameness.

The animated film didn't rock my world but it was one of the better attempts to make the character interesting.

I watched the animated movie last night with the wife and we both quite liked it. That Cathy Lee Crosby thing should just disappear.

I did like that the animated film worked all the WW mythos int othe story...but it was missing something...? Kinda bland really. The animation style was dull and boring, and the script itself just didnt flow well for me. I would have hoped they put more effort into it, like they did with some of their other recent direct to DVD films.

As for the 74 film. I admit I havent seen it since I was a wee fellar, but I have a fondness for those cheezy 60's and 70's superhero films. It would have to be REAL bad to turn me off of it....Hopefully I can find a copy of it somewhere and watch it again...I may end up eating my words!!??

I loved any kind of Live Action Superhero TV/Movie as a kid, including Captain America and Cathy Lee Crosby's Wonder Woman. Not having seen either as an adult, I've kind of relegated it to the pile of things that are better left as nostalgic childhood memories.

I think the Linda Carter Wonder Woman was already on the air when I did see the Cathy Lee Crosby movie, but I kind of reconciled it to an Earth 1/Earth 2 Multiverse thing as a kid since that was what was going in in the Justice League comics back then with Golden Age/Modern Age Atoms, Green Lanterns, Hawkmen, Flashes etc running around.

Someone at DC must have had the same idea since I seem to recall the Cathy Lee Crosby Wonder Woman showing up recently in one of these Multiverse Crisis crossovers (courtesy of Phil Jiminez maybe?).
