I found the real one. Yes, that is a stupid idea.
I like my Superman with a red cape and blue tights with the traditional symbol on his chest.
This show has really pushed the envelope with me. If you are not going to make a Superman show then change the characters name and call it something else.
The whole dark grim and nasty look should never apply to Superman. That black Punisher outfit with the chalky white S looks stupid.
Yeah, their target audience don't read comics, blah...blah..blah...
Then don't base a TV show on a comic book then and be too scared to make the show resemble the comic book. A lot of people don't really do the research when it comes to television shows and like to be entertained with cheesy rehashed plots.
If they were never going to put Superman in a Superman costume then they should have just created a whole set of characters who were simular. Just my two cents.More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

I am dying to see the real thing. I just wish they would have just done the blue and red. Let's see what happens. I usually frequent Kryptonsite myself for news , but I haven't been there in awhile. I will have to check it out if there is news on the suit.In The " Real World " Vampires Do Not Sparkle. They Burn In the Sun !

Wanna be edgy? Put him in the red and blue suit! Change things up and go old school, like this:

I just saw a pic from the screen caps of the teaser trailer. The Superman logo looks blah, At least fix that and make it look more pronounced. Anyways if it goes another season after this one maybe this is a bump into red and blue for the next or final saeson. I know they want to go possibly 1 to 2 more after this one.In The " Real World " Vampires Do Not Sparkle. They Burn In the Sun !

Just put him in the frigging tights already and then slap him in the next movie just to pound a nail in the coffin!?!?!?!?!?“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment

Quoted for truth. I am SO tired of this "grim and gritty, only wear black" stuff. Not every superhero is Batman or the Punisher, so the look ain't gonna work. It's SUPERMAN, folks - the very opposite of grim and gritty, the guy who put the "super" into superhero!

In defense of the producers of the show, I think they are limited in what they can do by the film division of Warners. I don't think Warners wants a true Superman show on TV right now. It would compete with their desire (and now need, thanks to the Siegel lawsuit) to re-reboot the Superman film franchise.
So Smallville is essentially neutered. When it started out, Clark was a teenager, and several years away from putting on the costume in many versions of the story (discounting tales of Superboy). So there was no worry of getting into the timeframe of any movie WB would make. Now they've run 9 seasons, the cast is WAY beyond passing for high school kids, and they've painted themselves into this very odd corner.
Without the clearance to go full-on into a Superman show, the series should have honestly been canceled by now. It's still enjoyable on several levels, but it's honestly at the point now, I am more annoyed by what they can't and won't do, then what I'm seeing on screen.

^ The sad thing is they're already shooting for that "magical" 10th season....the shark they jumped is so far behind them now it's just a dot on the horizon to them.....Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

Personally I am looking forward to Smallville as I do every season. It's one of my favorite shows and I haven't missed an episode.
I haven't bothered to find the pic that this thread is about and it wouldn't really matter anyway. This show is almost the equivalent of an Elseworld's Superman anyway so why not accept it for that and enjoy it for what it is? It's still a great show with solid actors (for the most part) and characters. If they do eventually put Tom in the super-suit I would be ecstatic and a little disappointed if that didn't occur at least as the very last shot in the very last episode of the series but I would still enjoy the show even if that never happens. How many shows really have lasted as long as this one anyway? 9 years is nothing to be ashamed of.

Smallville is great
Sure there have been some cheesy episodes, and others that should have simply not been made, but I am proud to say that I have seen every single one. From the start Smallville has always been an elseworlds approach and I am very cool with that. I say bring on this season, and another if possible. Don't put Tom in the red and blue until the series final show."Procrastination is the art of planning for tomorrow."Comment
