    Lady Death - Jade #1 April 2002

Anyone follow this comic book line? I seen a whole bunch of various issues from this line in one BIG box. I have an opportunity to scoop them up for like a buck a piece.

Now anyone here that follows along knows by now that I am not real big into comics. I was just wondering if anyone here collects them and knows if that is a good deal or not?

The comics all look to be mint condition and in plastic comic sleeve protectors with the card board backing.

I am not looking to move or profit from these. I would just like to know if I should go back and buy all of them or not waste my time with them?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

I never read Jade, But I was a huge lady Death fan having collected all of the Evil Ernie and Lady Death mini series....when Steven Hughes passed away I lost interest in the book. Steven totally gave Lady Death Life in his Illustrations of her.....The books he drew I highly recommend!

Depends on if you are buyingthem for reading or for investment. I'd say investment wise they are probably worth about that buck you are paying.

I thought the original Evil Ernie miniseries was quite a bit of fun, a bit of a throwback to the Freddy Krueger type horror characters of the eighties, by way of the Iron Maiden album cover art.

Didn't really dig the subsequent avalanche of spinoffs, including Lady Death so much, but I totally agree that Steven Hughes' art elevated it above all the other "Bad Girl" comics of the time.

Thank you for your input on this TB. I was thinking investment purposes. Good to know that I did not miss out on anything worth while by passing on them initially.

I have a box full of the bag girl books, Dawn, Avengelyne, Lady Death, Vampirella, they were ok reads but not worth alot.
i think Dawn might be still worth something
