Yeah if Winnick's in, I'll be out. It really hasn't been that long ago since DC tried a NTT reunion with "The Titans" series, launched by Devin Grayson and Mark Buckingham. Of course that was an orignal TT and NTT reunion series, so this will be the first straight NTT "relaunch".

In other good news, Chuck Dixon is returning to Robin!!! YES!!!

I think I read that the Titans East that start out in the one-shot aren't the Titans East that finish the book....hopefully a new ongoing ISN'T written by Judd Winnick (doesn't he have a Real World Reunion to attend?)

Good news from Newarama's Baltimore Con coverage:

Clarifying the upcoming Titans East special for retailers, Wayne reiterated that the one-shot will lead to a new Titans series which will star Nightwing, Cyborg, Donna Troy, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy.

So no mimbo. Just the REAL New Teen Titans (minus Wally).

True. But that doesn't make him a bad character--just one with room for growth or not. It seems to me every unknown/newly created New Gods related character starts off somewhat as one-dimensional or at least stilted. Knockout was a similar case when she first appeared in the last Superboy series. It took a while to develop her into the character we got to know and love in the most recent version of the Secret Six appearances. Most cameos of Big Barda too. So, after so the years of cheesecake superheroines, it's a nice kind of a shake-up to see beefcake. Paradigm shifts can be fun as long as the character development supports them.

According to Previews, this Teen Titans East thing is a one-shot special...hopefully it won't go further than that.

^ You're probably right...sounds like the problem she's having leeching off the other members powers is something Meltzer slipped in there to accomodate McDuffie's upcoming plots.

Pretty sure McDuffie will keep Vixen around, she was a recurring character on the toon.

That Red Arrow is a pimp though, been in the book for 12 issues,.. & already worked his majic with Hawkgirl.

I thought she was just toying with him, kind of beating him at his own game.
It is nice to see him using the bow and arrow though. I liked Roy much better when he was Speedy, although I understand why that character had to evolve. But seeing Green Arrow's protege' running around with guns the way he did for a while instead of using his archery skills kind of got on my nerves.

Agreed, bring back THE Firestorm. But I am rather enjoying Vixen on the team myself,... Geoforce not so much. That Red Arrow is a pimp though, been in the book for 12 issues,.. & already worked his majic with Hawkgirl.

^ Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow doesn't bother me as much as I thought he would on the JLA team. Agreed on Geo-Force...what with Black Lightning on the team and Bats it looks like a mini-Outsiders reunion.

Hopefully, with McDuffie on the book now, Geo-Force AND Vixen will get dumped for characters that deserve to be on the JLA. Don't get me wrong, they're both cool, unique characters but I don't consider them iconic enough to be on the JLA, now that said team is back to "name" players instead of Faith, Manitou Raven and Master Disaster. I'd have rather have seen Animal Man instead of Vixen but DC seems intent on pairing him up with Adam Strange and Starfire (their "52" storyline sucked IMO).

I'm still hoping they fix Firestorm (i.e. bring back Ronnie Raymond) and put him on the team, alongside the Atom (Ray Palmer)!

I'd still like to see Dick finally, officially in the JLA. He has more leadership skills than anyone on the team. And if Roy Harper can make it in...and frickin' Geo-Force!!!
