Oh Lord God, when I found out about this I got sick, literally sick. I'm NOT a fan of Disney by any means, sorry if I offend but speaking my mind here, I like some of the stuff they have put out, The Incredibles was awesome, I liked Cars, Toy Story was cool, but I really just don't know about this buyout. I fear Hulk (the only reason I haven't stopped reading comics COLD besides Conan and Walking Dead) is going to be sitting in the bleachers with one of my favorite characters you don't hear about anymore, Roger Rabbit. I LIKED Marvel Zoms 1,2, and 3, never had a chance to read 4, but for the most part over the course of the past 10 years kids don't care about reading, they care about stupid card games that take 100 pts damage, sadly, unless it's a card or has buttons kids don't care about it. Plus at book stores they don't sell Marvel Zoms there, gotta go to comic shops. So as far as it goes comics are mostly for adults by default now. But really this buyout reminds me of the Kenner buyout 10 years ago, they quietly drained the market and then all the things I liked were gone. I think it will be a matter of time and we won't even reconizethe face of Marvel, yep, it really is a small world after all. *sighs with disgust*

Does Goofy think of Pluto like some sort of idiot inbred cousin? What levels of evolution exist...is there some bizzare caste system based on cognitive ability, or do Disney animals evolutionize similar to the tribes in Edgar Rice Burrough's Land that Time Forgot?

One thing that always bothers me is when Donald & family are shown eating turkey for the holidays, which is cannibalism.

Actually, if there is a Mickey-verse mutant, I'd say it's Goofy. Sure he is supposed to be dumb, but he's a dog, yet he walks and talks like a man, where Pluto doesn't. What does this mean?!? I think he's a mutie freak!

His late great-uncle (his grandfather’s brother) was illustrator/cartoonist Jerry Iger, who partnered with illustrator/cartoonist Will Eisner back in the 1930s to create — you guessed it — the comic book packager Eisner & Iger Studios...And their first hire was Jack Kirby, who as you know later became the co-creator of many of Marvel’s best known characters with Stan Lee.

It probably means little today, but I found it interesting.

You know, I kind of wondered about that. I have heard his name before, when his picture and name were up on Newsarama, it did make me wonder if he was related to the early comic Iger.

The Disney-verse is full of mutated versions like Goofy. Clarabelle Cow & Clara Cluck are "humanized" and yet we know there are normal cows & chickens on Grandma Duck's farm (at least Disney-normal...most animals still can think & rationalize somewhat if they cannot talk- like Pluto does).

comics wise Marvel is following the same steps that had them on the brink of bankruptcy, 3 wolverine titles 10 x-men, the consoldated spidey to just Amazing but now a new title is coming out, way too many books at $4 a pop for the average person, 3 or 4 avengers titles? come on and sales are tanking on 2 of those Mighty Avengers has lost a good % in 4 issues alone.
You know disney only wanted the films and the merchandise.they may leave the comics alone. WB doesn't stick it's nose into DC
