>DC needs to have a dallas reboot and pretend everything that happened since COIE was "all a dream"
HAW! I'd go all "St. Elsewhere" and say Legion (from the X-Men) woke up and the entire DC universe was all in his imagination.

I'm sure Time-Warner has deep enough pockets to keep Superman. He's pretty much worth Billions, so if it means profit sharing with the Seigel's, then I'm sure they will pony up.
Unless the Seigel's have a personal axe to grind with Time-Warner/DC Comics... in which case life could get interesting if you had another mulimedia multinational conglomerate with deep enough pockets.
And what about the TM? Does this ruling give them access to the Trademark of Superman or the S-Shield logo? Or will it have to be marketed as "Speeding Bullets Comics starring Superman"? Think of those generic packaged Superman Fleischer cartoons floating around out there. The cartoons themselves are in public domain, but it's DC that owns the TM.
Is the public interested in a Superman who doesn't fly and goes around punching corrupt politicians?Last edited by samurainoir; Sep 1, '09, 2:21 PM.Comment
