When Captain America, Iron Man and Thor reunite...

Which title do you want to see this happen? A new old-school Avengers #1? New Avengers? Mighty Avengers? a non Avengers mini or ongoing focusing on the three characters?

Who do you want to see as the creative team?

What are your favourite stories of the past that focus on the three characters and their dynamic together?

After what Marvel has done to Iron Man, can any of the other heroes ever accept him again, in any sort of believable way? Without pulling a GL:Rebrith type explanation for Tony's behavior?

Would Steve Rogers, Tony Stark and Thor getting the band back together to take down Norman Osborn and The Dark Cabal be "event worthy"?

Didn't they already do that after Tony went nuts, killed a bunch of people, got replaced by Teen Tony, went into Heroes Reborn and then came back in time for Iron Man: Rebirth in the form of Heroes Return?

It would definitely create some wonderful dramatic tension between Steve, Thor and Tony if they are forced to learn how to work together again to take down some old school Big Bads instead of fighting each other. Steve and Tony have had their differences in the past... most notably Armor Wars, but Steve never had to eat bullets before due to Tony and the Civil War. Plus Thor has a huge bone to pick over Clor.

I'm actually kind of dissappointed that Hank Pym was a Skrull. I think his "has been" status was perfect and in character for him to try and redeem himself in the Superhero community via The Initiave... although I guess they did it better with him in the Ultimate Universe already with the European Union thing.

Not sure I really care at this point....Marvel has sullied the name of "The Avengers" for many years now it seems....ever since Bendis took over. In fact, a step in the write direction would be to take Bendis OFF any and all Avengers related titles. And start rebuilding the franchise.....

So who would you rather see write and draw an Avengers relaunch, and with which characters?

Kurt Busiek and any A list artist. Perez, Alan Davis, Dale Eglesham.

I agree Chris...Marvel has FOREVER ruined Ironman for Me. I still can't forgive Tony Stark for "Civil War". I cancelled Ironman, and will never buy the Book again.

I've also cancelled Avengers...and really have no interest in an Avengers Book. For me...it's over. Marvel really "screwed the Pooch on this one".

I agree with T-bolt.....last time I REALLY enjoyed the Avengers was during Busiek and Perez' tenure on the book. As far as members, I prefer the classic mix of Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Yellowjacket/Ant-Man, The Wasp, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Beast and Wonder Man. Maybe Quicksilver if he's not busy and Hercules and She-Hulk as backups.

^^^ Yeah, real Avengers only. No more Wolverine or Spider-Man, they just don't fit well. Spider-Woman does work ok tho.

What about Geoff Johns run after Busiek's?

I actually thought he was a great fit to take over and was disappointed that he did not stick around Marvel for longer.

Do folks think that Geoff Johns could salvage The Avengers with the Big Three? Give it the same TLC as JLA, Green Lantern or Flash?

And just curious, how do the events of Civil War turn forever ruin Iron Man for them if fans somehow managed to bounce back from this...

                        or this...

You guys have to admit that Homicidal Maniac Tony and Teen Tony were both way worse than anything in recent memory and fans still came back eventually didn't they? Particularly since it's was Busiek at the helm of both Avengers and Iron Man Heroes Return?

I agree, Spider-Woman works....but Spidey? Well he was asked before and always turned them down. And Wolverine is just waaaaay over exposed. I mean he always has been since the early success of the "New" X-Men but at least those appearances were confined to the "X-universe". I really can't see how this dude has the time to be on an X-Men team, on X-Force, on the Avengers, on his own, AND guest-starring in about 5 books a week. It's only a matter of time before someone writes a mini-series dealing with LMDs of Wolverine.

Dude...I don't even remember how Tony got back to being an Adult again! Must have been the "Heroes Reborn" thing I guess?

But as of right now...Marvel has made Tony a total Jerk...and I'm done with Book. No big deal...I buy too many Comics anyway.

Didn't follow the johns run, but he's kind of hit and miss. Flash Rebirth is a slow plodding dinosaur.
