Otherwise - it's a bird! It's a plane! It's MON-EL!!!!"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."Comment

For those who arent old enough to remember, Superboy and the Legion of Superheroes was one of the first "modern" comics DC did way back in the early seventies. It was the early-mid seventies equivalent of the eighties Teen Titans book, as it featured some of DC's best art and writing and was very popular during that time.
I always liked the stories that did feature Mon-El, and liked his costume as it was.....This version does sound like a "back up" as Timothy2251 has mentioned!!!"Crayons taste like purple!"Comment

Looks like they took everything distinctive about Mon-El's look (the high collar, the tunic flaps below the belt, the puffy sleeves) and dropped it in favor of a body suit with the same color scheme.
Oh and that left breast "S" symbol makes me think of 70s Supergirl. Please don't put him in hot pants!

Not been reading the Superman titles...Is there a particular reason for the 'S' symbol on his costume? If it's suppossed to be a tribute kinda thing, wouldn't it make more sense on his upper sleeve a'la sports teams etc?Comment

That's almost as bad as the Cosmic Boy Chipendale's outfit. I quite like the old outfit. It has a nice military look to it. DC should play that up and loose the blue trunks. Instant update.
I'm not a big fan Superman so whatever DC can do to get my attention is appreciated.Last edited by aquatroy; Aug 21, '09, 1:43 PM.Comment
