Hugh Jackman will grow hair again. The Sexiest Oscar Host of the Year will star in a sequel to Wolverine that's now being prepared, with Jackson, 40, also serving as one of the producers.

The story will take place in Japan as the Marvel Comics character faces an inner battle between his killer animal instincts and his sense as a noble Samurai, according to the

    Just read this today....

    McQuarrie to Write Wolverine Sequel!
    Source:The Hollywood Reporter August 13, 2009

Christopher McQuarrie has signed on to write the script for 20th Century Fox's Wolverine sequel. McQuarrie won an oscar for writing The Usual Suspects and reteamed with that film's director, Bryan Singer, for the first X-Men.

McQuarrie voluntarily took his name off X-Men when the final version was more in line with David Hayter's script than his.

Hugh Jackman will again star as Logan/Wolverine. He is also producing via his Fox-based Seed production company along with Lauren Shuler Donner.

The Hollywood Reporter says the movie's story line will takes its cue from the early 1980s Chris Claremont-Frank Miller miniseries, which is set in Japan and features Wolverine dealing with ninjas as he struggles whether to follow his animal killer instincts or the life under a samurai's code of honor and respect.

Made for about $150 million, "Wolverine" earned $363.2 million worldwide.

It could be fun, if they tone down all the mutants and just make an action movie. I found "origins" one of the more pointless movies this summer.

I liked the first Wolverine movie. Not great, but fun. I do hope they tease his hair up a bit more this time. It looked good in the first X-Men movie. Why do they keep screwing around with it?

If it takes Place in Japan,.. we could see, Lady DeathStrike Again,.. Silver Samuri , The Hand,.. Maybe even Psylocke ... Interesting stuff. Jackman is always gold as Wolverine,.. it's part of the Scripts that are Hit & Miss imo.

So it appears they are tapping Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's original Wolverine mini for inspiration this time? The one that transformed him from "Berserker" to more of a "Ronin".

I think it's great, he should milk the Wolverine thing as long as he could...he's not getting any younger and might be running out of time to play him soon

Jackman seems like a cool guy who likes the character, likes the fans, likes Comic Con. As long as he shows up and pops the claws, I'm in for a good popcorn flick.

That's what they've been doing all along. I find it kinda weird that any time a superhero comic is a dapted for another media (like film or tv) they seem to mine the early 80's era; with the currently popular characters shoehorned in. I've often wondered if that's 'cos this was the lst period that had really memorable stories, or if it's that this period was the one when the producers were kids and reading the books.

I think thats the period where the stories reached a level of sophistication that will keep most adults interested.

I'm sure they'll push for a trilogy....why not they're not horrible. Plus it's fun to see Wolverine's hair change from scene to scene......

As long as it's in the Hands of FOX, and Tom Rothman is the Producer...I have no faith that they will EVER makes a decent X-Men Movie again!

Now...I heard that Brian Singer might be interested in the X-Men again. If this happens, and maybe they get him to direct it...I'll feel a whole lot better about it.

                              Okay, tell me about Tom

I am surprised that Wolverine is getting a sequel since the first one didn't quite make the money they wanted it to make.
