Ah, George Perez was the BEST..! Totally what the Titans needed back in 1980.

George is a gracious guy too. Almost always does con sketches for charities. Super nice, approachable person! I love my disco Nightwing headshot sketch! I'll post pics later.

Yeah that Scarlet Witch redo was AWESOME. George has more hits than misses. His misses are just really far off.

Perez also helped me make sense of Robin's original costume. I can't remember the exact sequence, it was probably a workout room scenario, but he essentially showed that the green short sleeves and the green speedo were in fact a one piece skinsuit with the red vest and cape over top of that. It was suddenly functional in my mind!

          Brother Blood for the "win"...

Nice and creepy design. Basically tells you everything you need to know about the character and his cultish trappings.

Terra's first costume didn't really work at all for me...

Not sure how we can credit her second costume... it was based on Geo Force's original design wasn't it? (was that Jim Aparo's creation?)

Perez based his interpretation of Robin's costume on Burt Ward's costume, and it worked the same way, with the short-sleeved unitard underneath the red sleeveless tunic. You are probably thinking of NTT#39 where Dick gives up being Robin. He "strips" in front of the team.

Perez actually laments making Brother Blood some obviously evil. It was a great visual, but it's hard to imagine the media siding against the Titans over a guy who looked like that.

I must be in the Minority...
I don't really care for any of Perez' Interpretations of Scalet Witch. ..., I think outta all the Art I have scene from him,.. his Handle on Her is one of my Least favorite Chicks He Draws.

What's the White Tiger ? Some Spoof on Black Panther ?

Long story short... Hispanic Kung Fu Superhero created by Perez (of hispanic descent). Recently killed by Bendis in Daredevil and replaced him with his niece. She is the current White Tiger.

I'm expecting Bendis to get back to this character soon since he promised Joe Q (of hispanic descent) that if he did kill any characters he didn't create, it was his job to replace them with something better (at least that is the spirit of what I recall them discussing in interviews).

Black Panther connection was more recent. At the end of his run on Black Panther, Christopher Priest replaced T'Challa with a NYPD Cop of mixed race (half African America, half Jewish). In the pages of The Crew, Kasper Cole became White Tiger for the duration of the series.

You gotta love Marve's revolving changing rooms. You never know who's in what suit at what time!

I didn't even know he had a sister! Loved Black Panther while Christopher Priest was writing it, but not caring much for the latest incarnations.

Also really digging Kirby's Kooky version, which Priest actually brought back into continuity!
