I've always had a soft spot in my heart (or perhaps my head) for Dr. Solar and Magnus.

Enjoyed reading Solar and Magnus during their original Gold Key run (creak...) as well as some the Valiant days. Hoping for something in keeping with the original premise/style of these series...

I'd be more thrilled if Jim Shooter wasn't involved in the relaunch......

            Hmmmm....

This gets a resounding "meh" from me. We saw this back in the 90's, and I'm kinda concerned about a new version of Mighty Samson. The old one was cool 'cos of it's weird mix of grim and wacky stories. I can't see a lot of that nowadays.

The only one I really ever cared for was Turok. I did end up with a copy of Mighty Samson once and enjoyed it, though. I'll still pick up cheap Turoks here and there (Gold Key).

I was a Huge fan of Turok, specially when Tim Truman took over the title and had him in Gauley Bridge WV, that was a REAL treat! I collect the Hell outta Turok comics when I find them.

I was spoonfed on all of these guys and I'm not sure I'm going to be up for the "updating" of them.

I bought each of the valiant titles #1s, read them, forgot about them and then got $50 a pop a year later when I tried to sell them. Didn't hate them, just didn't get super excited.

Wouldn't mind getting nice reprint sets out of this deal.

The prices on that Valiant stuff was crazy....I didn't get it...I knew someone back in the 90s that sold the majority of his Silver Age comic collection including a decent run of the Fantastic Four to put the money into Valiant books. Gotta be kicking himself in the butt now.....

I had a friend that went wild over the valiants. only thing was he was doing it as an investment, bought all the crap home shopping network had, well now they sit in 2 comic boxes pretty much worthless compared to what he paid

yeah I picked up a bunch of the Magnus and Turok books when they were under the Valiant brand. I liked Magnus, he was pretty cool.

If Shooter is involved, I'm assuming these will pick up where the Valiant books left off?

I would rather they go into it with a clean slate and just focus on the Gold Key versions of the characters. I always did like them, especially Magnus: Robot Fighter....even if he does dress like Zac Brannigan!!! (or vice versa!)

That kind of confused me to be honest, I had bought those issue and they just sat for several months and they exploded in value? Happily took my money and ran.

Heh, I bought two copies of every Impact title, I was such a fan of the Archie heroes I was convinced they would be the "next big thing"
