I'm on vacation, so I was watching local TV at a time when I normally would be at work and saw a commercial for a Comic Shop/Used Bookstore that I had never heard of. I decided to swing by while I was out this afternoon.
They have a ton of Comic T-shirts that I haven't seen before. Great stuff.
Unlike other Comic Shops in Oklahoma City, they had a decent selection of Toys. In fact, this was the first time I have seen EMCE stuff in a Brick and Mortar store. I already had all of the figures they were selling, but still, it was cool to see EMCE in a store in Oklahoma City.
Their back issue stuff seemed a little pricey at first, but as I thumbed through them, they were all in awesome condition. I found All-Star Squadron #34 and #67 that I needed to replace some raggy place holders in my collection. Average price was $5 on them, but I couldn't have found them anywhere else without paying shipping. It all came out even and I am relieved to have that finished. Been waiting awhile for those two. I also picked up Annuals 2 and 3 that I did not have before, so now I have a complete very good to fine run of All-Star Squadron. Only been working on that since 1981!
As I was paying, the clerk asked how I found them and I told her about the commercial. They all started with the high-fives because this was the first day the commercial had run.
