Ruby-Spears 88 Superman series on DVD!!!

YES!!! From TV Shows on DVD!!!

Superman DVD news: Announcement for Ruby-Spears' Superman | TVShowsOnDVD.com

I was so psyched when this show came on. It was a natural progression of where the animated comic-based shows were heading after Super Powers. A more mature take on things, while still keeping it kid-friendly. Marv Wolfman and Gil Kane's involvement in this certainly helped!

Great to see it on DVD...FINALLY.

This is totally awesome!! This Superman series is so rare, I'm glad to see it finally come out. Now, with the excpetion of the remaining episodes of the Filmation series, every animated series of Superman can now be accounted for on DVD. And it will be a delight to get this only 2 months after Plastic Man comes to DVD!!
    Cheers.

I taped them all at the time, but for some reason, all but the first two were taped over! So I haven't seen most of them for over 20 years!

Superman Homepage has the cover art. Looks like it's based on the John Byrne pose from the last page of The Man of Steel #1, very appropriate!

they are still pretty good on par animtion wise with spiderfriends, Thundercats, transformers, and Gijoe (sunbow) plots are waekened by no big name superman villian other than the Byrne style corporate raider Luthor. My favorite parts of the show were the superman family album

FINALLY! I love this series! Especially the Family Album shorts that followed the main cartoon.
