    The Cost of Blackest Night

    Interesting...... http://www.newsarama.com/comics/0709...ckestCost.html

But basically, if you buy all of the preludes (starting with GL #39 and GLC #33) and the mini-series spin-offs (the ones that have been announced, so far) in addition to the main 8-issue mini-series, your whopping total will be $145.55 (not counting the FREE Blackest Night #0 issued on Comic Book Day back in May).

If you stick with just the 8-issue main event, the total is down to $31.92 ($3.99 cover price).

    YOWZA!

So who's in for the long haul?

But reguardless .... it is some cash,..
It's no different than any other thing I buy,.. other than I want this more..

I'm only going to buy the 8 issue main event As usually the spinoffs are a waste of time and money

          The Batman Blackest Night...
          Superman Blackest Night
          & Titans Blackest Night..
or the 4 Book Tales of the Blackest Night Corps....
Sure,.. you probably won't need these books to read your story,.. just like any other story... But I want it all .

BTW.... I count 12 issue's so far,.. I believe that you will have to read to get the complete story... I thought the story was jumping in & outta Corps & GL,... like the Sinestro Corps War,.. as well as the Blackest Night book... It doesn't make any sense if it doesn't...

            Blackest Night...inside my wallet!

I've been following (the current) Green Lantern since Rebirth. I do have some issues from the Staton days back in the '80's around Crisis and from the '90's, and I'm starting to grab the Showcase and Chronicles trades. I'm not going to pick up any of the other Blackest Night tie-ins. Terra's story ended years ago, when she died at the end pf the New Teen Titans Annual. I honestly don't care about the Batman or the Superman Blackest Night stories. Plus, I really don't have/want to spend the cash on it. I'll just have to get by on the main series. I'm picking up Cry For Justice, and I may want to see what James Robinson is able to get away with when he takes over on Justice League in the fall...

I'm two-feet in for it all. Been a Green Lantern fan since my Mom bought me my first comic book in 1971, at the tender age of 4.

There have been very few times that Hal Jordan as been at the center of DC's plans. Until Johns took over the book he was always getting shoved to the side.

I've been on Clound 9 since New Frontier and Rebirth and now the character is only getting more popular with the Direct to DVD cartoon flick and Warner's movie.

So yeah. I'm buying all of them. Not a big Zombie fan, but GL 43 was a fantastic bit of creepiness. Black Hand has gone from an oh so forgettable cookie-cutter villain to a very interesting character in 22 pages.

Or you could wait for the trades that will come out a few months after its over.

I'm not opposed to TB's...when you add it up, they're a lot cheaper than buying the actual book. But for some stories...I'm just too impatient to wait.

That is By Far my Biggest Problem...
With The Sinestro Corps War,.. that was a 21 Part book,.. with 4 kinda Critical Tie-in's ,.. that imo were must reads... I bought everyone of them. & Now you can Get the Trades... Part 1 & 2
BUT for Me,.. it was a Fantastic Story,.. so no Regrets there... & with the Norm "Yearly Event" books... I don't buy anything,.. but maybe the Arc it's self.
With Blackest Night,.. & Me,.. this is the greatest story ever imo...., so I must Buy.
