The article i read at either newsarama or Comicbookresources had Daniel writing and drawing the issues. As far as covering the same ground, its morrison's ground to cover since its pretty much his story continued from RIP. you'd think the editors of both books would be aware of the other storylines. I don't really see the necessity of the new book for Morrison, unless DC is going to leave Deective as a non Batman book in the future. I wonder, if the sales continue to be good, will DC revert back to Bruce? Or will Bruce even go back to being the Bat after he gets back from where ever he is.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. ^^ I don't. it should have just continued on in Batman after the hiatus instead of letting Winnick "write" another book. Will DC even keep the B&R title after Morrison's done with his story? I did enjoy issue one, the intro of new villains instead of retreading Joker, Scarecrow or Penguin was a good move. Really like the preview page ala JSA at the end, too. Wonder if the new Red Hood will be Jason Todd. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I'm probably in the distinct minority in that, even though I usually don't like much that Winick writes, for some reason, I enjoy him on Batman (even with the return of Jason Todd). It's a mystery like the Bermuda Triangle.
And, Arkham Asylum aside, I've not enjoyed that much of Morrion's work with the character. Morrison works better (for me, anyway) with characters that can handle his "big" ideas. Superman, The Spectre, characters of that nature. I think Batman should be a down and dirty street comic.Last edited by Steeler80; Jul 13, '09, 10:03 PM.Comment

^^^ If Bruce does come back to being the Bat, I'd be interested in seeing the father/son dynamics of Bruce and Damian. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I've got no problem with Batman ending up in all kinds of cosmic wierdness. When the guy can hob knob with demons and hotty fishnet wearing magicians, and be a member of the JLA, he's going to end up involved in crap like that. You must try to generate happiness within yourself.
