    Deleted Scene from Watchmen

Topless Robot - If Only Hollis Mason Told Those Punks to Get Off His Lawn

I'm looking forward to the directors cut. It looks like they have the kid reading the comic book as a way to juxtapose the animated pirate footage into the narrative. It will be really interesting to see if they can make it work cinematically.

It's power as a "comic within the comic" works because of the pirate comic frames and captions exist on the page alongside Watchmen narrative comic frames and you can jump back and forth fairly seemlessly. The live action and animated interspersion might be a bit more jarring, particularly if you look at other experiments of this nature like Kill Bill.
