    From Heroes Con...

Jeff Smith - Rasl will continue until it reaches some 400 pages (12-15 issues), after which, he’ll start another project, as well as the intended sequel to his recent Shazam mini-series for DC.

The Shazam series he did was so bland. I think what made me most peeved was that I ordered all the regular issues, then DC released it in trade for a lesser price. I'll pass on his sequel, it will be in the discount boxes anyway just like the first one is now.

Art's current version is better. Buy it.

I liked Smith's take on Shazam, it was padded but I loved what he did.

            JMS is leaving Thor?!?!?

Well, that's a title that I can drop after September.

Sounds like he'll be able to wrap the series up the way he intended. Perhaps now he can finish The Twelve.
            Hey! Check out the pictures.

Agreed. Perhaps it's a reflection of how badly DC has used the MF in their "Earth 0" universe. I felt Smith did a good job of getting back to basics with Captain Marvel.

Hopefully JMS can finish Thor without getting entangled with the Dark Reign crossover, particularly since She-Loki is part of the Cabal and the fact that he's wearing Sif's body is a huge plot point.

Looks like he's already been writing Brave and Bold, as well as the Red Circle characters for DC Comics since those issues are solicited.

I'm a big fan of Bone and I enjoyed Smith's Shazam, which I think is much closer in tone to the whimsical charm (with that unique Smith twist) of the original than any of the DCU's offerings since the eighties (although Ordway did try). I think Kunkel was the perfect choice for the spin-off of Smith's run, and looking forward to reading what our own Mego Milk is going to be doing on the title since I love Tiny Titans so much.

It's actually Smith's RASL that I'm having a harder time getting into, but I only read the first issue and have the trade sitting in my cue of things waiting to be read.
