Thus far Millar's been pretty effective at building up the menace of the Marquis of Death, by not really showing too much. It will be interesting to see if he lives up to the hype, particularly if he's going to be losing Bryan Hitch for the conclusion. Not that Stuart Immomen is any slouch, but there is a certain bang that you expect from the Millar/Hitch team.
I'm seeing a kind of "Judge Death/Dark Judge" vibe to the Marquis of Death.
Not sure why, but I'm getting a sneaking suspicion that in the end it will be Valeria Richards that pulls this one out of the fire. The larger story arc seems to be built around the development of her character, and a toddler with the intellectual prowess of Reed Richards is actually kind of an interesting idea to explore within the family dynamics of the title.
