now pairing Morrison with Jim "blecchh" Lee. Its a lose lose for me and The Bat. Not to mention it will never EVER come out on time. Will Lee ever finish a project?

Ya know what...I'll even put up with Morrison for Jim"the Man"Lee!!!!!!!!!!! Hell...I put up with Miller's absolutely HORRIBLE writing on ALL STAR.
So McDuffie is off the book? Poor guy never really got a chance to get rolling on this book after being distracted and side-lined by one event after another, not to mention the book got off to a horrible start to begin with under Brad Meltzer.
Morrison was good on JLA before but I'd be very skeptical now, all things considering. Lee sounds good but yeah time is a factor plus I don't want every page to be a pin-up.
I'd seriously like to see Len Wein return to scripting...I think he still has a better handle on the JLA than newer guys. I'd also like to see a return to stand-alone League adventures without all of the cross-over nonsense that has plagued the book for quite a while now. And a rotating membership....it was always great not knowing who would turn up from month to month, depending on the story.

If its a wait for that crap batman that lee did with Miller, imagine this wait!! LITG has several different possible pairings with Morrison with Lee and without. One I've seen was with the guy that did RIP with Morrison. I think this is supposed to be another reboot down the line after Blackest night is over, since the Meltzer one went so well. Didio's philosophy seems to be reboot once a year.
McDuffie is getting screwed over by continuity. Batman, GL, Supes and Wonder Woman are off the table. Aquaman and Jonn are dead. Guessing Flash is off limits too due to the current reboot.

I guess the biggie would be if Morrison would do the big 7 again down the road or would it be a different team with some old school guys and new stuff like his kick hinder Frankenstein from 7 Soldiers?

In the good ol' days the JLA had no continuity other than it's own...what happened in "Batman" stayed in "Batman" and didn't cross-over into "Justice League of America" for example. I'd like to see a return to that philiosophy...I think it'll help free up creators and let them CREATE instead of "writing" stories that are given to them by editorial mandate.

At what point did continuity start seeping into the JLA? I recall the line-ups reflecting Wonder Woman's loss of powers in the seventies and Batman forming the Outsiders in the eighties.
It's probably also a product of sweeping changes wrought by crossovers than anything else that impacts the title (good and bad) beginning with the Post-Crisis breakdown of JLDetroit and formation of Justice League International/Bwahaha in Legends. They were front and centre through Invasion and The Death of Superman. Can't remember, did a crossover event close down the JLI era numbering and launch Morrison's new JLA? I'm sure it's safe to say the latest relaunch by Metzger can be seen as a followup to his Identity Crisis. Was there another event in there as well that led to the latest #1?
Even Morrison had to deal with Blue Superman and Hippolyta as Wonder Woman.

The JLI era ended with the Breakdowns cross-over between JLA and JLE I think...the title was dormant until that 3 issue mini-series with Dr. Destiny (I think it was by Mark Waid? I don't have time to pull the issues). That led into Morrison's run....
