Punisher War Zone by Ennis and Dillon

I finally got around to picking this up. Nice to see Ennis reunited with Dillon, although I would prefer to see them on the creator owned Vertigo series they announced so long ago. It seems they can't keep Ennis apart from The Punisher for too long.

Haven't really been following The Punisher's return to the mainline Marvel U too closely, although I will probably read Matt Fraction's Punisher War Journal run eventually.

Haven't read any Punisher books since Ennis and Dillon were on it together the first time. Those guys are fabulous together. I may just have to look into this. Thanks, hadn't heard about it before.

I quite reading the punisher when that stupid mini series came out where he killed himself and then came back as some avenging angel spirit guy!?!?!?!?
Just ****ed me off so I stopped collecting him.

You're missing some great material in Garth Ennis' extended runs.

There was a wonderful simple response to the Avenging Angel bollocks in the first issue of Ennis and Dillon's original 12 issue mini.

My recommendation is to check out Punisher Born with art by Darick Robertson, or the Max ongoing if you want a harder edge Punisher. I'm particularly fond of The End drawn by Richard Corben.

The Knights stuff is more tongue in cheek, but still fun, although don't expect reverent treatment towards the costumed superheroes, the finale of the ongoing Knights run in particular.

          You Know,

I have Never,.. ever really ever Liked any Punisher Book.

Now,.. I am A huge Punisher Fan,.. & Love the Idea of the character,
As well as when He Guest stars in the few Books I have,.. & His character was one of the coolest ones in Civil War , one of the only plus's in that series. imo.

Just never have cared for his tittles.

Although,... I did like the Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe.
