I picked this up, issue 17, on a whim when I went for free comic book day. I thought I'd attempt some new stuff. I do have a question for anyone in the know...

Has this book always been this good?

Seriously, I was able to get right into the story despite what happened previously. The art is great and the dialogue is snappy and fun. This was a most enjoyable read. Now, I'll have to go back and get more if the verdict on this series is good. Very cool stuff. I think I may have a new title on my weekly pull list.

Has this book always been this good?

No...when The Outsiders concept was revived a few years ago it was written by Judd Winick....stay away.

I too have recently picked up the new arc with the new team and have been enjoying it. I like that Batman has put together a contingency team in the case of his "demise". It's also cool that it's basically the original Outsiders plus the Creeper and Owlman. And it's led by THE ORIGINAL ORIGINAL Outsider, Alfred. Nice touch!

What is the jumping on point? I've been wanting to try the book since they added Creeper and Owlman(is he the Earth 3 guy or the son of Roy Raymond?)

I actually liked the Outsiders when Nightwing led them. But wasn't thrilled with the Batgirl led team.
