Are we enjoying Dark Reign thus far?

For me, the pendulum has swung back to Marvel after a degree of Multiversal Burnout over in the DCU.

Between Civil War, Secret Invasion and now Dark Reign, Marvel has really built some character driven momentum into their books flowing out of these big events.

The inconsistencies with the Cabal are starting to creep in a bit just like it did with Tony Stark's character post-Civil War, but hopefully under the guidance of Brian Michael Bendis in the main Avengers books, the story arcs for characters such as Doom, Hood and Norman Osborne can play through relatively cleanly.

Not that DC doesn't have great stuff going on in the setup to Darkest Night, but Geoff Johns can only write so many books a month, and he's already sorely missed on Superman (and JSA and Teen Titans).

I've avoided Marvel's "you gotta buy every comic to get the whole story" marketing strategy since Civil War and don't plan to get into this story either.

I'm kinda ****ed that 2 of my titles are now the replacements ie Wolverines son and Moonstone/Ms Marvel
Looking for Infinite Heroes Robin and Catwoman

I'm enjoying Dark Avengers but other than that I could do without "Dark Reign" being plastered across every freakin' title. I can only imagine the listings in Overstreet next year....pages and pages of "Dark Reign:Fill in the Blank".

I read Civil War just fine without buying all the Tie-In Books....
Can't say the Same for Final Crisis though,.. But wait, that was Morrison at his Finest.

I think the main "guts" of the last few events generally play through quite well if you only follow the Bendis-written titles. Which for me was Secret Invasion/Mighty Avengers/New Avengers and now just Dark Avengers/New Avengers and the occassional one-off. Although Uncanny X-Men seems to be getting pulled into the action in quite a compelling way with the upcoming crossover.

Anyone following Thunderbolts? I loved the Warren Ellis run which pretty much handed the baton to Bendis for Dark Avengers, and I'm wondering how Andy Diggle is following up on the book (i liked Green Arrow year 1).
