Is it James Marsden though or someone else credited? It could be young Cyclops just learning about his powers...if memory serves (in comic book continuity) he didn't have his powers from birth, or at least they were dormant. Something about a hit in the head after he and his brother (Havok) were thrown from the plane...???

yeah it doesn't look very good i mean, what does blob and gambit have to do with the origin of wolverine? if apocalypes and sauron show up i'm leaving but seriously i think since dark knight ,watchmen, and even ironman the bar is set alot higher for super hero movies and i don't think wolverine will live up to it. but i'm not telling anybody not to see the movie, if thats the kind of movie you're into.

Since they've constantly upped the ante with the addition of new mutants in each successive X-film, they probably felt that a movie with just Wolverine, Sabretooth and Silver Fox would've been too boring. So they used characters that they never got a chance to use in the other flicks.

just in..wolverine will have MULTIPLE endings:

                    Alex Billingsly of FirstShowing.net says...

"They've hidden multiple secret endings at the end of credits on different prints, and you have to go to different theaters to see them.

Fox is a bit desperate to try and get people in theaters on May 1st for the opening and this definitely seems like a very unique decision to try and bring people in. While we've seen plenty of easter egg endings, like on Iron Man last year, we haven't seen multiple endings like this in a long time. Hood didn't specifically mention how many different endings there were. As for the other differences between the leaked version and the final cut, Hood explained that there were 400 unfinished visual effects shots and that there was no score, unfinished sound mixing, and unfinished color timing. However, he didn't mention anything about differences in actual footage."

                      >& Whole BS Direction of Rogue was Lame...

It always seems odd to me when they juggle stuff around from an established continuity. Was it just me, or was the movie Rogue actually the comic Kitty Pryde?

                      >what does blob and gambit have to do with the origin of wolverine?

Yeah; like that! It's stacking the deck, putting as many of the popular characters into the story as possible to draw more fans.

                      >They've hidden multiple secret endings at the end of credits on different prints,

Wolverine with multiple origins? Whaddya know, they've accurately captured the feel of the comic....

I had a feeling this thing was going to smell like 4 day old fish. The addition of tons of characters to the movie was a bad sign for me.

Well, I'll see it once, and catch the other endings on DVD in 3 months. Not gonna work Fox.

I'll go see the movie first and then comment.
                                I liked X3, actually.

Not too crazy about the look of Sabretooth, though. Great actor, but Victor Creed he ain't....
