That Byrne Bats/Cap book was great in my opinion! Especially liked how he kinda worked both characters continuity together.
The Hulk/ Batman would be my #2 pick. Something about dumb old Hulk falling for Jokers "were the same...see, I've got green hair too" ploy brings a tear to my eye everytime!"Crayons taste like purple!"Comment

Thinking of Batman/Hulk.....even though I love the book, out of all the Hulk's foes, they picked the Shaper of the Worlds? What's up with that? The Joker really carried the story in that book though, as drawn by the great Jose Luis Garcia Lopez.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

The Superman and Spider-Man team-ups (both of them) were also published as tabloids. The Marvel and DC cross-overs went to the standard comic book size beginning with X-Men/New Teen Titans. I think the tabloid format was revived only for the Superman/Fantastic Four team-ups by Dan Jurgens.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

I really , Really like that 1st Series Drawn By the Kurbert Bros,.. Batman vs Predator. After that,.. They all were not as good. But that 1st 3 issue paperback series was Fantastic imo.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

I have a Batman/Hulk Tor color paperback (paperback novel size) that came out shortly after the tabloid, apparently. I didn't even know it came out in any other format for years.
I think the Parasite was in that second Supes/Spidey crossover because Jim Shooter created him when he was 13 and working for Wesinger at DC. He was head-honcho at Marvel by the time of the crossover.
My favorite is probably Batman/Hulk. The 2nd Supes/Spidey one is the weak link of the original chain for sure. JLA/Avengers is well worth the wait and the hype. Busiek and Perez never got any better, IMHO. And yes, that even includes Marvels for Busiek!

You know I never thought of that...makes sense though as Shooter actually scripted the book.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

but doesn't know a lot about the Behind The Scenes in the comic world.
I always thought they were just trying to give a semi-popular villain a push
whenever I saw that comic.
(I was so proud of Parasite's achievement of making the book!)"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. [QUOTE=The Toyroom;304732]The original can't be beat in my book...Superman vs. Amazing Spider-Man. 2nd and 3rd choices would probably be the Batman/Hulk and the X-Men/Titans mentioned.
I've always thought that the 2nd Supes/Spidey was sub-par to the original...Dr. Doom isn't really a Spidey villain and the Parasite is a little lame as far as Supes foes go. If I had my choice I'd have preferred the Green Goblin and Brainiac somehow teaming up. Plus I felt that the addition of Wonder Woman and the Hulk as guest-stars further showed how poor the whole thing was....Spidey and Supes should've been able to carry the book all by their selves.

All time favorite was the long awaited Justice League and Avengers.
It has been so many years in the making since they had the original disagreement. I thought it was pure genius how they incorporated all the different lineups and team versions by using a time fluxing story so that every version of the JLA/Avengers could be seen together. Even the original art was put into the story and made useful. Awesome?
Am I alone on this?
Brilliant and I want to see another one. My two favorites together in one book!!!More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

^^ The original art was not recycled for the story. Its all owned by Leifeld now and would not mesh well with Perez's style now as it has evolved a bit. Perez may have redid a few of the panels, but its all new artwork. You must try to generate happiness within yourself.
