    essential classic x-men 3

finally marvel releases something i'm interested in, just picked it up it's sweet. it contains x-men 54-66, amazing adventures 11-16, and other issues. it's the first time i've ever got to read many of the issues that neal adams art in incredible, 15 years before it's time. anybody else pick it up.

My first X-Men comic was the one where Wolvie was slicing up the Hellfire Club guys.

I've got a couple of those original Thomas/Adams issues....they were really hitting their stride with Havok, Polaris, Sauron, Magneto.....too bad it didn't last longer. If their X-Men had been more of a hit things might have turned out differently for everybody's favorite mutants and we wouldn't have seen the rise of Wolverine, Colossus, Storm, etc.

yeah i would of liked to see atleast 6 more issues before it went to reprint but i guess it was adams work on x-men that got him the batman gig at dc so that might of been the reason it was ended so abruptly.

amazing adventures is also in this volume, hey it's were beast gets his fur, he fights juggernaut can't beat that still never heard of the artist tom sutton who drew those issues. early 70's marvel is often overlooked.

Well, Wolverine would still be around in some fashion. He might only exist as a punching bag for the Hulk, but he'd be around.
