DC has got to update their licensing art. JGL is terribly underappreciated, but that art has been around since the 70's
          Hey! Check out the pictures.

I think for the Most Part DC Has Updated their Licensing.
I know for like the Batman BirthDay Stuff, Beding & Shirts for Kids,.. it is new Art. A few Months Back, I even Bought my Boy a Batman Shirt, with Jim Lee Art on it,.. & there was a couple of More there with Lee art as well.

Superman had alot of different updated stuff,.. when the Movie was out as well,.. & Updated Comicbook Stuff like Beding, Kid's stuff & Birthday stuff.

These Folders I believe were really intended for People like Us,.. Who like this sorta Stuff,.. Like the Retro Shirts at Walmarts/ Targets & all the Nonsense at Hot Topic,.. & Hot Topic has (or Had) New Age stuff ,.. like the Ross stuff, DarkKnight Stuff, & the Retro Stuff.

I just can't wait until the Flood Gates open on the Green Lantern Loot. Man,.. I am getting everything. I just Hope my Old Lady doesn't throw me out,.. When I bring Home the Green Lantern Beding.

Lopez is still doing new DC licensing art today. I believe he is still doing most of their Superman style guide work. I think one reason he is under-appreciated is that he never did a truly memorable run on the interior of any books. He drew New Teen Titans for a while, but he was following Perez, and Wolfman was starting to go into his writer's block that stifled the book for years. He has mostly done covers and fill-in issues over the years, besides the volumes of licensing work. Apparently he works a bit slow, so that's why he never did monthlies much.

A few years back DC dusted off the 82 style guide and started using it for retro-merchandise. I couldn't be happier!

Most people have probably forgotten JLGL's initial run on DC's Atari Force comic....his stuff was fantastic and I was sorry to see him leave and be replaced by the sub-par Eduardo Baretto....

My favourite Lopez art was in the Twilight prestige format series...

Worth checking out is the Modern Masters volume devoted to him...

For me growing up, he's the guy who could do the New Teen Titans as good as George Perez. I had reached a point where I was becoming a fan of the creators in addition to the characters and it was so jarring whenever they brought in a new artist.
