^ I 'd rather not know the wheres or the whys of Aquaman the past several years because it's been a clusterfrick anyway....bring him back in Blackest Night, fix him so he's the Aquaman we all know and love once again and move as far away from the past garbage of Artie Joe, the Dweller of the Deep, etc. as possible and start fresh...hopefully in "Aquaman:Rebirth" by Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver. Even though it's a wish, I can already see this shaping up in my mind's eye.... It'd be soooo FREAKIN' AWESOME!

          Hmmmm....

I've mentioned it before; how it's always amazed me the frequency with which Marvel and DC "borrow" from each other. Didn't Marvel just do this?

I really don't view these guys as "zombies" like what Marvel is doing....from what I understand, these are the dead that have been raised to do Black Hand's bidding (whatever that means), not to necessarily feed on flesh.

Given how much i like Kurt Busiek's other fantasy oriented stuff like (Conan, Wizard's Tale and Arrowsmith), I was really disappointed with his Aquaman.

As much as I really dig Geoff Johns stuff, I'm leaning more towards a Grant Morrison Aquaman... the undersea world should be really weird and disturbing to the surface dwellers. Although it's probably because I'm enjoying the return of Seaguy right now.

It's a shame Michael Turner never got to do Aquaman. He had a real affinity for drawing the undersea world (I think he was an avid diver).

Yeah. Imagine what his versions of Mera and Dolphin would look like.
