IMHO.

Avengers Assemble! I so can't wait!

As much as I hate to admit it, you are right. I am a dyed-in-the-wool DC fan and really can't stand Marvel anymore. I haven't bought a monthly marvel comic for close to 10 years and I think the last Marvel I bought was a What If special a couple years ago. It disappoints me that DC has all these iconic characters arguably more recognizable than anything Marvel has ever created yet their movies have really sucked or been very disappointing for some time. Who out there wouldn't love to see a DC movie just blow everything else away? I'd love a JLA movie starring all the same actors who would do the individual movies (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern , etc). If I was a big Marvel fan I'd probably have a chubby all the time seeing all the movies that they have put out recently that are actually entertaining. I even liked Daredevil, LOL but I admit they aren't a big priority for me. I wouldn't pay to see them at the movies while I would to see a great DC movie.

I have to say I think JLA would be too big for a movie with the Big Guns involved. I would rather see a Second String JLA movie like Blue Beetle and Power Girl (oh Ogem, please Power Girl played by Mena Suvari) maybe even using the Max Lord storyline...

^^^^Isn't that what they are doing with this Avengers movie? Why would that be any different for a DC one?
While I agree with you and think a Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Guy Gardner, etc movie would be cool; you gotta admit those aren't really much of a draw when it comes to ticket sales (of non-fanboys).

I just finally saw this movie too, about two weeks ago. It was better than I thought it was going to be, with Norton and Tyler and most of the cast doing a very good job. I thought the first half of the movie was really good, and I too loved all the nods to the CBS tv show. But I didn't care for the second half of the film much, and I really hated the special f/x, the way Hulk looked and moved. The whole final fight was almost painful to watch, literally, as my wife and I were getting a headache just trying to focus on what the heck was happening. I watch films like the LOTR trilogy and how great their f/x are, and how realistic they can make so much of it seem, and wonder why it's so difficult for these other filmmakers to follow suit?

Glad to see I'm not the only one here who isn't completely enamored with The Dark Knight, heh. People think I'm crazy when I tell them I didn't enjoy it very much, though I agree that The Joker was pretty excellent overall.
