Any one remember the Marvel Assistant Editor Month back in the earliy 80's. It have some wacky stories like the Captain America issue had Capt as a woman, her boyfriend was Steve Rogers, fighting MODOK. I beleive it also a female version of MODOK called MADAM. The Avengers issue had them guess starring on Late Night With David Letterman. Star Wars story tried to give Wedge, some og Biggs' background. Almost all the icon photos in the upper right hand side of the cover, were reversed i.e. like the photo was take from the back of the hero instead of the front.
The reason, I remember this, is because just recently I won a doll off ebay that reminded me of the Captain America Issue. The female doll was dressed in a mego Captain America Outfit with red female style boots and had a Mego Captain America Shield. The only thing that was missing was the face painted to look like Capt's Mask.
