Favorite version of the Avengers

Gambit, Purdey and Steed No seriously if you are going to have a favorite JLA thread there has to be an Avengers one running side by side for marvel junkies.

I loved Jack kirby's take, so I am sticking with the originals flat head Hulk, dome head Iron Man, Giant Man, Wasp and Thor.

I've always been partial to the George Perez run on the Avengers, but I couldn't tell you at this point which characters were active members at the time.

Would love YJ, Hawk and Vision together.. I'd say late 60s were the best for me, right around the Ultron/Vision story. ALWAYS loved John or Sal Bucema art.



Perez renewed my interest in the late 70s/80s for a spell, along with his New Teen Titans. His and Byrne's artwork from 150s through 200 were very memorable.

I'll never forgive Marvel for the YJ wacko/wife-beater storyline..

As long as they cover the Vision and Scarlet Witch, I don't care how they do it. I love the story lines for those two. The Vision's story is especially interesting with his origins rooted with the original Human Torch (of the Invaders) and some DNA sharing with brother Wonder man. I loved those old classics! I haven't read up on them recently, but I seem to recall the Vision was destroyed (and brought back later, but not quite the same - all white?). Hopefully, they'll fix that if they haven't already. I like his classic red, yellow and green color scheme.

New characters like Ares & the Sentry also made the team fun again imo.

I really dug the line up after the originals dissolved with Cap, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Throw Herc in there and you've got a fun lineup.
