You may be right on the money. However, this picture brings up two questions...

1. Is this an ongoing series within DCU continuity or is it a self-contained story much like All-Star Batman? If it is independent then this may be Bruce.

2. IF this is indeed Grayson, why go through the whole cowl battle when every reader who buys DC stuff knows who's going to end up with it anyway? Just skip that crap and get on with the Bat titles. Seriously, do you think the Justice League will accept any one else in that role other than Grayson?

I see this whole substitute Batman thing being a train wreck.

Dick is the go-to-guy if Bruce ever dies (which he won't). But I've said this many times before. If you want to read this done well, go get the Prodigal TPB. No Damian either. I loathe him as well. I can't see Dick putting up with him unless they totally change his character.

I like the Design that Damian had with the white Hoody better.
... Maybe the whole perpose of the Battle for the Cowl book,... is to show you why Dick could be Batman,.. as apposed to his mental issues on the subject 13 yrs ago,.. when He tried.

I am a huge Tony Daniel Fan,.. & Liked what I read so far....

Bruce getting the Ax, is Crap. But Morrision did it,.. & I feel anyone who pics up his "New Batman" are only aiding his nonsense...., so I will boycott any further BS He chooses to pump in the Mythos of the Bat. Can't say I am too Keen on even the idea of this book either.


& The flipp'in Batmoblie looks like a Giant LadyBug .

I have to admit that I'm not at all interested in the Battle for the Cowl mini. This stuff smacks of Reign of the Supermen and because everyone knows that Bruce will be back it comes off as a cheap stunt. Having said that, I can see the benefit of putting Bruce on the shelf for a time so that the other Bat-Family characters have some room to grow. Kind of like uprooting a redwood so that the plantlife around it can get some sun.

The preview pages from Rucka & Williamson's Batwoman run on Detective look great. I'm really excited to see that book. it's about time that DC did something with the character. Morrison and Quietly did such a great job on All Star Superman and I have every confidence that Batman and Robin can be just as good. Admittedly, Quietly's work takes a little time to grow on a person. However, I believe that if a person gives it a chance they will be rewarded.
