    Trades of Individual Issues?

I seem to be getting more and more trades these days. Anyone else? I have found that my local library, through a interstate program, can get trades from just about any library in Michigan. I have been getting books i wouldn't have read as singles. Partly because they are free. After hearing so much about the Ed Brubaker Captain America title, I got them from the library. But I liked them so much I have been picking them up at used bookstores and other online shops. I like that I can get them for much less than cover of the original issues too. The Motor City comic con is coming up in May and there are usually several dealers that sell tons of hardcovers and paperback trades at half off cover.

Don't get me wrong, I do love individual comics too. I am not sure I could wait for a trade version of the Green Lantern series right now with all the cool stuff going on. I also love the fact that companies like DC are releasing older stories as well as recent storylines. I have grabbed it yet but am anxious to get the Many Strange Deaths of Batman. I would love DC to collect some of the back stories of DC Comics Presents "Whatever happened To..." Any other cool stories that should be collected?

I'm starting to amass a huge collection of trades. I missed almost a decade worth of material, so this is the best way to catch up. I like having the entire story in my hands. I also re-read most of these several times. I've got a cool deal through Borders with their rewards program. every other week I get a coupon for anywhere from 20-40 percent off one item. When you're looking at 20 dollar trades, that savings adds up.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

I mostly just buy the comics...., but trades are neat stuff... I recently bought the Red Hulk hardback. It was pretty damn neat. Lots of little extras,.. like every cover, Additional art. About 10 to 15 yrs ago,.. I used to buy a boat load of the Batman Trades.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

always trading for Hot Toys Figures .

              oooooooo! That sounds fun.

I like floppies, myself. I buy trades to get caught up on titles.
              Hey! Check out the pictures.

I'd like to see color collections of the old Robby Reed Dial "H" for Hero, the 60s Plastic Man revival, Inferior Five, Freedom Fighters (70s), Karate Kid (70s). And a nice volume of Superman's encounters with various shades of Kryptonite.

Just read this for the new DC Comics solicitation:

DC COMICS CLASSICS LIBRARY: THE JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA BY GEORGE PEREZ VOL. 1 HC

Written by Gerry Conway, art by George Perez with Frank McLaughlin and John Beatty, cover by Perez.

The first half of artist George Pérez's 1980s run on Justice League of America is collected in this new hardcover featuring issues #184-186, 192-194 plus Perez's very rare JLA postcard set! Features the team's battles with Darkseid and The Secret Society of Super-Villains, as envisioned by the artist of Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds!

176 pages, $39.99, in stores on August 26

This is why I love trades. Great stories with some very cool extras. I have been looking for the JLA postcards from Perez for awhile now. I have the Black Canary one. Got her off ebay about a year ago. Rare to even see them on ebay. I have always hoped DC Direct would rerelease them. And I love Perez doing the Satellite era League. Definitely buying this when it comes out.
