Challenge of the Superfriends 1978

just watched this Challenge of the Superfriends-Attack of the Legion of Doom dvd this is the single disc only 4 episodes awesome forgot how good this Hanna-Barbera classic is need to find I guess theirs 2 box sets now season 1 and 2

Challenge was done as one set, they have other seasons available

WB released the first four episodes on the "Attack of the Legion of Doom" set. Then the next four on a set called "United They Stand" But your best money's worth is all 16 episodes in a complete boxset. They called it "Challenge of the SuperFriends: The Complete First Season.

The following series released was called SuperFriends: The Complete Second Season. This was the 16 episode series that had the 5 mainstay heroes and the Wonder Twins. These were the episodes that aired alongside the Challenge series back in 1978.

In 2007, they released SuperFriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show with Firestorm from 1984 and then several months later, they followed it up by releasing the Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians with Cyborg from 1985.

Last year, they released half of the All New SuperFriends Hour from 1977 on a 2 disc set and called it, The All New SuperFriends Hour: Season One Volume One

And back in late January of this year, they finished up that series with another 2 disc set called The All New SuperFriends Hour: Season One Volume 2.


All that's left for release are the original SuperFriends series from 1973
with Wendy and Marvin, The World's Greatest SuperFriends from 1979. Only 8 episodes in that series, and finally, the short length episodes made between 1980 and 1981, and the lost set of shorts from 1983. There are 66 total. I really hope they release these episodes.
