Yeah I know what you mean, about lines like that, I just hope that they make them downloadable in a pdf file, not these god awful ones you have to read online.

plus marvel seems to hav realised it needs to get the kids from the toons and movies to the books, even if it is only to shift more merchandise, as long as they cut the cost of the titles in half, for digital I will be happy to see the move, plus they will still make more profit than with printed ones now

There will always be a market for printed items.

As others have said, I enjoy holding the comic rather than looking at the screen. I enjoy collecting the artwork. I only read one comic so for me I would still be willing to pay a premium for a printed copy instead of an e-copy.

Same with books. I read a lot of books in a year and will never move over to electronic versions.

If it keeps production costs down, there will definitely be a market for the electronic versions. As long as there are others like me who are willing to pay the premium for the actual book or comic, there will be enough to meet everyone's needs.

I think you'll see more print on demad places like LuLu.com; where books are stored electronicly and printed only when ordered. They'll probably merge with the itunes type stores too; so you can order electronic copies, or paper ones from the same place.

for me i like the actual printed. i tried an e comic and they suck. it is not the same. how do you pass down an e comic to your son.print off a bunch of pages with a printer.that blows.the price is getting out of hand. why pay 3.99 for a new one when you can buy better written old ones on line for 50 for $5.00
Ok. Orphans! Listen to Ignacio. I know it is fun to wrestle. A nice piledrive to the face... or a punch to the face... but you cannot do it. Because, it is in the Bible not to wrestle your neighbour.

I really don't think traditional (paper) comics will disappear anytime soon. The recent find of Action #1 has once again sparked interest in comics--especially the classics. I can imagine if DC/Marvel and other publishers ever decided to stop printing books, people would go on a hunt for copies of old books. Book prices would fluctuate wildly until people got over the craze. Eventually, long time collectors could potentially make out in the deal--if they ever decided to give up their books that is.
