Help: Need to know name of oversized 70's Spider-Man comics

    Guys/Gals,

I figured if any one could help be figure out the name of these (and maybe marvel didn't publish them) oversized Spider-Man 'comics' from the mid to late 1970's, it would be all of you. They are probably 2 to 2.5 times the size of a regular comic book. They were thicker than a comic book and have soft covers with a coloring book weight paper cover (though they were not coloring books, at all). These may have been some sort of compilations.

One that stands out for me is Spider-Man fighting Doc Oc and the Green Goblin.

At any rate, I'd like to get more detail on these so that I may possibly be able to located some.

Thank you for your help in advance!

Sounds like a treasury edition, but I defer to the specialists.

You sir are correct! Thank you!

The one that I certainly had is the 1977 Marvel Treasury Edition #14. It seems as though I had at least two editions. The only other cover that looks somewhat familiar is #22. I remember being enthrawled with that Spider-Man #14 Treasury Edition. I can remember sitting on the floor pouring over it as a 3-5 year old little boy.

      Thanks again!

You can get some Treasury Editions at Mile High Comics.
I have seen them cheaper on e-bay though.

They also have some British Spider-man Weekly comics.
They were slight bigger and printed on what seems like Newspaper...strange.

          The Treasury Editions are lovely.
Just in case you need them, you can even buy Treasury Comic bags.

Thanks so much for the links! I saw some copise on ebay, as well, and they look pretty good and more reasonable in price. But, we'll see.

I have this one. I must have read it a hundred times or more when I was a kid.

I think I still have that one but all my treasuries are in a big box.

I've got the Conan's and the Star Wars treasuries.
Loved those massive comics back in the day.
Now they are just kind of a pain to store without getting damaged.

Though they are still cool to look at on the rare occasions that I pull them out.

That's why they are hard to find in mint condition. Most times they are beat up.
Although I tend to feel they are somewhat over-valued (in the price guide) in my opinion.
