I havn't read any comics in a while but I thought I would pick this up.

Someone tell me *** Happened. I heard they killed off Captain America but I figured they'd bring him back.

Venom is the new Spiderman, The Green Goblin in the new Ironman/Captain America?! Wolverine has a son that has tooken on his name. Just what the hell is going on?

Apparently, most of comic-dom is an illusion. The sooner we accept that, the less surprised we will be.

Times are hard. Don't support crap. You will have more money in your pocket and the big two will be forced to recalibrate or go out of business.

Not sure what the point is since this has been done before as "Thunderbolts". Plus I don't care for the fact that the Green Goblin is suddenly the Lex Luthor of the Marvel Universe.

I very much enjoyed this book and I think they are going somewhere with it!

I collect all the Avengers books. Scarlet Witch came back and Hank Pym is going loopy after his wife died. He is now taking on the mantle as the male WASP.

It is getting interesting...

Testify. Biggest mistake Marvel made was bringing him back - it really takes part of the wind out of that classic story where Gwen was killed.

Ugh. Both Marvel and DC have been SO lousy the past few years.

ETA: Wrathdemon, I wish I shared your enthusiasm, and am glad you're getting much more out of it than I am. More power to ya!

See now, I have the opposite opinion...I felt disenchanted with the Avengers books for quite a while lately but I hung on because of the Secret Invasion tie-ins and I was hoping for a good pay-off. I didn't feel I got what I was looking for and I've since dumped these titles. Plus, for some reason, the Avengers books now seem to be $3.99 a pop while others are still $2.99...and they're not adding anything that i can see to justify the price difference.

Is Venom Eddie Brock and the symbiote again? Last time I look it bonded with the Scorpion?

This has always been a major gripe for me with Marvel. The endless passing of character identities to totally random people. The old Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe is littered with endless entries like "Fire Weasel IV: Bob Burner found the costume of the third Fire Weasel while rummaging through his garbage..." Why mess with a good thing?

The Scorpion was too cool of a character on his own to totally discard that identity just to pick up the Venom one. But I think they did that because Eddie Brock had his own weird set of morals and with Mac Duggan they can just let the character rip people apart and eat them. Brock wouldn't have fit in with the premise of the Thunderbolts IMO.

I think it is new. We need to let this one get interersting. I am actually enjoying where this is going. Seeing the real Avengers "hiding out" in the new Captain America's little brown stone.

It was also nice to see US Agent back in his black outfit carrying some kind of metal shield. I always liked him also.
