    Final Crisis, Superman Beyond ...

    was freakin awesome!

I read part 2 last night. It's poetry wrapped in spandex and beautifully rendered capes. Absolutly loved it. And this is after reading a synopsis where the gut turning phrase "cosmic vampires" was used (I'm so sick of vamps).
The characterization is spot on. Even Billy Batson gets his moment to shine and proves that he's just as couragous as any Superman. I'm going to get an extra copy so I can pull the 3D glasses out and read the books again.

I've never been much of a Superman fan, but Morrison's All Star & Superman beyond have given me a much deeper appreciation of the character.

    Great stuff!
    Hey! Check out the pictures.

Eagerly awaiting this one in the mail. I really liked the Captain Adam in that story. He seemed to be a bit like the DCU equivelant of Dr. Manhattan.

If memory serves, that's what he was supposed to be. I believe Watchmen was designed with that in mind originally. Rorscach = Question, Night Owl = Blue Beetle, Captain Atom = Doc Manhattan, and so on.

^^ Yeah, aware of that, its just the first Iv'e seen some of the traits of th Watchmen characters applied to the DC counterparts.
